This is my 'based on me' character - using my own penname and all.

Sir Frederick Chook
Male Breton
Birthsign: The Lady
Class: Romantic
Specialisation: Magic
Attributes: Intelligence, Personality
Major Skills:
    Blunt
    Light Armour
    Sneak
    Speechcraft
    Marksman
    Alteration
    Illusion
Equipment:
Did anyone ever read Sherlock Holmes, and see references to a weighted walking stick called a 'Penang Lawyer'? Well, Sir Fred carries an even heftier stick called a 'Wayrest Lawyer'. Wayrest is a treacherous place.
For even stickier situations, he carries the 'Bow of Burning Gold' - its 'Arrows of Desire' sow confusion and unrest among the gangs of bandits and ogres who plague Cyrodiil's travellers, turning them against each other while he sneaks on by.

A petty member of the High Rock gentry, Sir Frederick is the archetypal Breton: cheerful, curious, poetic and a touch eccentric. He's right at home among the academics of the Mages' Guild. His views are often a trifle unorthodox - arguing, for instance, that his chosen fields of Alteration and Illusion are metaphyiscally one - one effects changes in reality, and the other in our perception of reality, but can these two concepts actually be described as distinct?

He's a softy at heart and always rooting for the underdog - he can't walk past a beggar without stopping, and he rooted for the Orcs during the conflicts in Orsinium, and hopes one day to meet Gortwog and congratulate him in person. He was distressed at the poverty he found in Cyrodiil and the complacency of the Cult of the Nine, compared to Tamriel's other religious bodies - even the moralistic Tribunal church offered poor relief. When he heard of a mysterious gentleman thief pledging to protect the peasants against the heavy hand of the law, he had to seek this 'Grey Fox' out and offer his services. They struck up such an accord that, when the elder burglar retired, Sir Fred took up his mantle.

For now, he lives in Anvil, where the ruling family seem to best have their heads screwed on, and where the chapel, while still restricting themselves to the worship of just one entity, however powerful, rather than the divinity of all of reality, at least believe in something as universal and spiritual as beauty, rather than the usual tiresome Imperial deference, commerce and Emperor-worship. He next plans to travel south - perhaps Elsweyr.

(Hello, I'm new. I haven't looked at the UESP since my Daggerfall days, and rediscovered it upon picking up Oblivion! I suppose I'll come back and add links to pictures once, you know, I've been a member for a while. Does anyone else think Elsweyr would make a great location for ES-V?)

As long as there's a huge desert filled with nomadic warlords to get lost in.

I'm terribly sad. I had this entire thing typed up when my browser fritzed and now I have to start over. Woe is me. Anyway..

Name:
Aleend-Ei
Gender/Race:
Female/Argonian
Birthsign:
The Lady
Specialization:
Magic
Attributes:
Strength/Endurance
Major Skills:
Restoration, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Mercantile, Speechcraft, Acrobatics, Athletics
Equipment:
All currently unenchanted (for now): green robe/hood, iron boots/gauntlets/shield, silver shortsword, minimal potions as reserves only

I created this character to give me both a new RP element and to give me a new challenge. I've always chosen pretty straightforward characters before, so this is something new.

Aleend-Ei is a mage that has been practicing for some years since her migration from Morrowind. She's a thief who relies on alteration to get her into locked doors and illusion to get others to look the other way or when she needs information. Mysticism helps her see those around her, both potential targets and witnesses. Restoration serves both to heal her injuries and as a replacement for destruction as an offensive tool. She's a budding practitioner of the sword, as well. She uses the shortsword previously wielded by Emperor Uriel IV. Despite her role as a mage and thief, Aleend-Ei prefers using heavy armor to give her added protection.

Aleend-Ei is an associate in the mages guild and is currently making a country-wide trek to retrieve her needed recomendations. She has likewise sworn loyalties to the Gray Fox. She will be joining neither the Fighter's Guild (well, probably not) nor the Dark Brotherhood. The Main Quest is being ignored, as well, because she does not see herself as a chaperone to someone she's never met. She obviously does not understand the seriousness of the situation, though that may change..

Once a Crusader, Ark'Need was imprisoned for the crimes of his father, Taer-Need Terlach. His time in prison changed him, and he no longer saw the world as a place that needed saving, as he once had.

Ark'Need was in prison only a year, but during that year.. much had changed. As soon as he was released by the Emperor and his Blades, Ark'Need sought out his family, only to find that his mother, son, and wife had all been murdered by a group of soldiers who had had quite a bit too much to drink.

As he held his dead wife's corpse, he made a vow to return their kindness, and to do all that he could to destroy the Imperial Legion.

His skills as a Crusader come in handy, and he was able to recover his mace and shield from his home, as well as 10,000 Septims. He wears no helm, wanting his enemies to see his smile as their last sight. Ark'Need sought out the thieves guild to keep his bounties low, while seeking out the Dark Brotherhood to refine his deathcraft.

This man, Ark'Need Terlach, now calling himself the Dark Crusader, has been changed, and he will not allow his enemies to survive while his family can not.

(*Pure RP character, he can only fast travel between gates in the same city (Or areas in IC), I started him with 10,000 septims because I needed a horse and a few other things, and am playing him lots atm.. it's more fun than I expected honestly))

Lol.. I love how Ark'Need looks. At first I almost made him look like an african american elf... lol.. but then reduced his age and he came closer in skin tone to this, then I decided to go with that kinda colouration. His features are soft in youth, and his hair is his pride. It's just long enough for a short ponytail, and the softest in his family.

^_^

T'Sera - Male Argonian - Shadowscale (retired)
Warrior - Stealth - Strength & Endurance
Blade - Dagger
Block - Dagger
Light Armor
Acrobatics
Sneak
Security
Merchantile

T'Sera is a Retired Shadowscale, as much retired as you can get. He is settling down, somewhat, as a Merchant in Cyrodill. He is using his business as a front for smuggling operations.

He will set up the Order of Nibany Merchants Guild, the Imperial Mining Company, and Valley Veiw Vinyards. He will run smuggling operations out of Dunbarrow Cove. At one point, he will become a Vampire, and re-establish the Crimson Scars at Deepscorn Hollow.

He will join the Arena & do Misc Quests, but mainly dungeon diving. He will not do any of the Main Quest, SI, KotN, or Guild Quests. His intese study of Melee & Stealth, means that he neglected any Magical Studies, thus he will not use any Magic Skills. Unfortunately, that means no increase in Intelligence & Wisdom, until much later, when they are the only Attributes left. He is using the 5/5/1 method, to increase his luck.

After many role-playing concepts, I'm doing something different now.

I never fast-travel and pretend my character can 'die' when he hasn't eaten anything or when he is very tired. But I also want to do every quest in the game, create a 'hall of fame' and have a total playing time of at least 100 hours.

I'm also playing on a high difficulty setting, which makes things even harder ;)

Name: Aicantur
Gender/Race: Male High Elf
Specialization/Attributes: Intelligence & Endurance
Birthsign: The Atronach
Major skills: Blade, Destruction, Conjuration, Mysticism, Illusion, Alteration, Alchemy

* Yes, I do have Alchemy, but I don't make many potions, I don't want to 'cheat' like that.

Aicantur is next in line to be the new Ayleid king. However, the White Golden Tower had been attacked long ago and the Ayleid empire has been destroyed.
So he visits every Ayleid dungeon he can find, to kill the baddies that are using it as their home and to find the Varla Stones, Welkynd Stones and Ayleid Statue's he adores so much.
He's found 5 Ayleid Statue's until now and sold them to Umbacano, however, he's definetely going to steal them back.
He has 14000 gold and a Fame of 8. He's just level 3. He's trying to earn enough money to buy the Rosethorn Manor in Skingrad, the only home in Cyrodiil that is good enough for him. He loves power, and it won't take long until he has the highest Magicka amount possible: 450. With that, he can even destroy complete cities.
He hates Imperials and Redguards, because they're the ones that destroyed the Ayleid Culture long, long ago. He's done some progress in the Main Quest, however, but that is because he wants to earn glory and fame. And somehow he has a feeling that Martin will die at the end of the story and with a bit of luck Jauffre and Baurus will also join him.

By doing every quest in the world, including those in the Shivering Isles, a land he hasn't explored yet, he wants to earn as high fame as possible. He will then replace Ocato as the leader of the Imperial City and eventually crown himself the new Ayleid King of Cyrodiil.
Finally, he can then restore the Ayleid culture and bring peace back to Cyrodiil.

Of course, the Ayleids ruled with huge standing armies of vicious undead. They were really advanced technologically but I don't think they were particularly benevolent. Peace, maybe. Happiness and prosperity, not necessarily.

Well, I'm not that informed with the Ayleids.

But hey, my character has Conjuration as a major skill, so he can summon Zombies and Skeletons!

And with Peace, I mean peace for him. Because he's now living in a world ruled by Imperials, with those stupid guards with such a worse Artificial Intelligence patrolling the streets. When he rules Cyrodiil, however, he's happy :D so that means peace for him.
Every non-High Elf, however, has got a problem, because he or she will be hunted down and killed ;)

A couple of character concepts I've been working on...

Ram gro-Rugdush
Ramm about town.
Ramm down to business.
Male Orc
Birthsign: The Warrior
Class: Orc Sergeant
Specialisation: Combat
Attributes: Strength, Endurance
Major Skills:
    Armourer
    Blade
    Block
    Heavy Armour
    Acrobatcs
    Mercantile
    Security

Ram is a career soldier in the army of Orsinium, patiently working his way up through the ranks. In addition to mastering and drilling the troop in advanced combat techniques, he is responsible for securing stocks and provisions, maintaining weapons and armour and keeping the barracks safe and in good shape. He travelled south to Cyrodiil on leave to look for his brother, the leader of a coven of Malauch.

I wanted to try a dedicated combat character. I also had the idea that, seeing as Orcs weren't playable until Morrowind, you could technically make a PC who had appeared as a nameless monster in an earlier game. So, Ram is one of the Orcs the Hero of Daggerfall met, back in the day. Obviously they survived the encounter - perhaps the Hero had skill points in Orcish.

Burns-Midnight-Brightly
Burns-Midnight-Brightly out on the prowl.
Female Argonian
Birthsign: The Atronach
Class: Sneak-Thief
Specialisation: Stealth
Attributes: Agility, Speed
Major Skills:
    Blade
    Alchemy
    Mysticism
    Acrobatics
    Light Armour
    Security
    Sneak

Mostly I was just enchanted by the description of the ruby-red Argonians in 'The Argonian Account' and wanted to create one. I'm still getting to grips with this character.

It looks like a 'safe' mage, a perfect char. for defensive magic, although you don't have Restoration or Alteration. Hm...
Of course, you have three skills that start with only 25: Blade, Sneak & Marksman. That can prove some challenge.

I also don't like the Breton, it looks like a tiny Imperial to me, who uses magic instead of personality.
But hey, that's my opinion, and overall it's a good character. You don't have any negative effects here, and when your intelligence reaches 100 (which it already had done I suppose when you're lvl 18) you have 300 Magicka, which is 150 under the maximum amount possible, but still decent, and again, without any negative effects.

After two long days of Grinding, 12 hours each Sat & Sun, I'm having fun playing a Merchant (shadowscale). It is actually fun not doing any of the Main or Guild Questlines. I am actually taking my time, casually playing. I make sure to eat, drink, & stay at Inns. I talk with the other NPC's, raising Disposition & Personality.

Started out dungeon diving, to get the coins to set up Dunbarrow Cove. then joined the Arena and became Grand Champion, for the Fame and Notoriety. This gave me two easy sources of weekly income. Then purchased the Anvil Manor. I'm using Anvil as my main headquarters, and Port of Export, since it has a port actually accessable to the sea/ocean. I've also set up my first Merchants Guild City Office there as well.

I joined the FG, as an associate/spy (needed the trainers). Argonian Loyalties are to the Blackwood Company. I did a few Services for County Leyawinn, and am the Knight Commander of the Knights of the White Stallion. Helps to have a good cover, and Base of Ops in the South. Plus it is another good weekly income, selling black bows. I'm also on a crusade to keep the bandit & maruder operations down. More eliminating of the Comp.

I took out/over the Skooma dealers in Leyawiin. I also took out the Skooma Den in Bravil. Eliminate the Comp. I tried to kill the little skooma seller, but he's essential, so I recruited him. I just knock him unconcious, and take his skooma. Gotta keep the biznatches in line.

I've set up my Vinyards, three mines, and half way through with building & recruiting members for the Order of Nibany Merchants Guild. Making a nice income from the Mines & Vinyard. Still have some time before the Guild starts pulling in money. Still have some more dungeon Diving to do.

I have purchased all of the Houses, so have a safe house in each of the Cities. It is a very costly operation, but killig bandits/maurders, and clearing out their loot is proving usefull. A good way to fill time between collecting the weekly earnings.

Two complications: Not using magic makes stealth more difficult. I've been caught by guards several times (early levels). A chameleon or invisibility spell would have been nice. In game poisions are lame. Alchemy would be nice. Once I get the whole merchant guild thing going, I may take up Alchemy, as it is not actually a Magicka Skill. Current Magicka is only 90. It would also be another nice source of income.

Once I become a Vampire, and re-establish the Crimson Scars at Deepscorn. I will make a mod for taking the DB Essential tags off, and kill them all. I will also do the same to the Gray Fox. I will destroy the DB, but take over the TG, and become the Gray Fox. It is the Cowl that identifies the Gray Fox. I've already killed LaChance, and have his Black Hand Robes (and key to the DB Well).

With Aicantur:

I've collected six Ayleid statue's, and it won't take long until I've collected them all.
I haven't got any house yet, since I'm raising money to buy the Rosethorn Manor in Skingrad.
My goal is to buy that house with all the upgrades before I've reached lvl 5, which is quite difficult because I level up very fast and I don't want to use other skills so I won't level-up at all.

Why? Because I'm searching for power. I want power.
I have the Atronach birthsign, so it won't take long until I've got 450 Magicka.
I will enchant my armor, 2 rings and 1 amulet so I can raise that up to about 600.

I've done a part of the Arena and I've joined the Fighter's Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Mage's Guild. I'm going to do every guild and every quest to earn as many fame and infamy points as possible, so my name will be well-known.
You could say my character is neutral, he doesn't care about conflicts or wars, he just wants to be the ruler of the world.

I've to think about a nice little story why I would go to the SI however. Maybe because he also wants to be the ruler of that world ;)

I'm also going to collect many varla stones and welkynd stones to decorate my house with, and maybe I make a mod that there are friendly zombies and skeletons walking in it.

name - Druss
class - Legend (or Deathwalker, as the Nadir called him)
atts. - strength/endurance

defining skills - axe; hand-to-hand; block; athletics; speechcraft
weapon(s) - only fists & axe, or (when I get a great enough twin-bladed axe I can name), Snaga The Sender in the Elder tongue

factions - Arena (a young Druss fought in the sand-circles in Mashrapur, to get payment to continue his search for his wife); Fighter's; and the main-quest; endevour to right all wrongs (and generally get dragged into seemingly hopeless battles)

style - Druss was famed for walking everywhere, so no fast-travel or horses. He was canny, easy to provoke, and a troubled hero against all odds, who could never turn from his life of conflict and violence. Druss the Legend - Captain of the Axe - he could never pass an opportunity to get involved in the defence of what was "right", and could never give in against greater numbers. Also? The greatest axeman and warrior who ever lived. Speechcraft chosen, simply because he was a persuassive speaker, despite his Personality.

looks - the age setting maxed to the right, with white hair and beard, rarely using armour at all, and always carrying Snaga (when I/he gets it). Never carry a shield, and spurn all riches - so no fully upgraded houses. Home? Imperial Waterfront, or Bruma.

I'd say this was my created character background, but my last Ob character is a homage to Druss the Legend, courtesy of David Gemmell (who I found out died just a year and a bit ago). A great, enduring character, and when my 360 works again, I'll enjoy role-playing the great big Nord as a mini virtual-tribute.

[editted; I sure would like a replica of that pictured axe.. but boy is it pricey]

I don't remember fully, but is the deathwalker title a ref to b5? The last of the dilgar had that title.

You just need to type (or copy and paste!) the web addr as it would appear in the addr line at the top of your browser, like:

How do you post a link? someone tell me please.

You just need to type (or copy and paste!) the web addr as it would appear in the addr line at the top of your browser, like:

but what if you don't have a right click can you still do copy and paste?
