So for some reason, Oblivion on this computer is currently unplayable. Here's what happens when I try to play the game:
1. The launcher goes just fine, and the game launches.
2. The opening cutscenes play like normal.
3. The menu appears, but for some reason the music isn't playing; the menu sounds work fine.
4. If I leave the menu in any way (new game, load game, exit game), the game locks up and I have to task manager it.
I have tried countless solutions:
- Having steam support completely wipe my cloud for Oblivion
- Reinstalling the game several times
- Validating the cache
- Reinstalling the game with all security suites turned off
- Validating the cache with all security suites turned off
- Trying to play the game with vanilla settings
I really don't know what the problem is. In case it might help, here's my specifications:
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel i7 920
Motherboard: Dell 0R849J
Memory Info: DDR3 -- 4GB
Graphics Card --- AMD Radeon R7 240 (ASUS Version)
I wanna get back to this AMAZING game, help would be much appreciated. I'm pretty knowledgeable about how to use the registry and stuff, so be blunt with me.

Honestly, I would go through this whole section of the wiki and see if you can get anything to work:

sounds like a Windows 10 issue, but I really have no idea.

No hablo Windows 10. I have enough trouble getting it to run on Windows 7, so I feel you, man.

None of the situations describe what my problem is sadly, gonna need personalized help.
