Recently I created a Vendor for my WIP project, I wanted him to sell items from his chest + many items that are in his shop (namely: soulgems, books, staffs).

Created the needed faction, added the chest and made the faction owner off all things in his store I wanted him to sell.
The merchant is in two factions: JobMerchant and the one I created which has the chest + the other items. Both factions ranks are 0.
He sells everything in the chest but won't sell anything that the faction owns.

Is there some special trick to make him sell the other things?

Why not just put copies of those items from the shop into the chest? In all stores that I can think of, the stuff on the counters is just for decoration, so it's not like people should be expecting items to vanish from the shelves as they purchase items from the vendor.

I am quite sure that I have seen items vanish of the counter, of various merchants and street vendors.
(Currently I used your advice so that my merchant atleast sell all the items I wanted, but for immersion reasons I would like it that he sells what lies around in his store)
