So I've been trying my hand with making a few simple custom followers; you know, add them to the factions, make their disposition 75, and then add the relationship so you can pick them up without doing a quest. I've done it successfully before; three successful follower NPCs, in fact, but for some reason, it just isn't working with these three.

I have the following three NPCs in the works;

Ra'zhar (From the 'After Alduin' roleplay) - Khajiit Mage (Destruction). Uses the 'KhajiitMale' voice if that makes any difference. I used J'zargo as a starting point, and I deleted several relationships, factions, et cetera, until all that was really left was his appearance, inventory, spell book, and stats.

Rylvyr II - A from-scratch Dunmer Archer/Mage. Uses the 'Dark Elf Male' voice.

The Ghost Knight - I know this one will probably not work. This is a normal follower NPC, with the 'ghostability' spell in his spellbook to make him look like a ghost. "Is a ghost" is left unchecked. Uses the "CommonerMale" voice because I figured the ghost voice wouldn't work.

For each of these NPCs, I made sure to set them to the factions "Currentfollowerfaction" (-1) and "PotentialFollowerFaction" (0), I made sure to set their disposition to 75, and I made sure to give them a relationship to the player, set to Ally. That should be enough for 'Follow me, I need your help." to show up. Is there something here that I'm not doing correctly?

(Also, on a side note, I'm having some real issues with getting faces to show up properly. I'm done the ctrl-f4 thing with Ra'zhar to export his face data, but he still shows up as a generic greyish brown furred khajiit instead of a white one. Same happened with my other now grey-faced NPCs. Any clue?)

Scratch all of this; I figured out what the issue was. Mod lock, please?

Why don't you explain what the problem was in case someone else ever has the same problem? ;)

The relationship values never saved; I guess they decided to delete themselves or something. Not sure.

As with my issue with the ghost knight, I set the 'parent' character to be the player instead of the Ghost Knight.

As with Ra'zhar and the Grey Faced NPCs, I'm still having an issue, but I was able to fix Ra'zhar.
