It depends on what their new IPs are. Two big open world games could distract them. Sure, it could be the Fallout team working on it whilst wrapping up DLC for F4 and the TES team is waiting for the go ahead to start brainstorming ideas. But i can see them overstretching themselves and well, they don't have the best record for launches being free of issues.

Probably 2020 is when they are ready to start marketing it and depending on their size, could be a 1-2 year release date afterwards.

Which means that the PS5 will definitely get it. What? At a guess, it would be the time for the next gen to start around then. And the erm... Ok, i haven't a clue what the successor to X1/Scorpio will be.

The Xbox Zero, of course! Logic only dictates that be so.

Still, I'd rather they take as much of their sweet time as they wand and or need. All this rush-rush to get something out at a certain date is never a good thing, especially if things need day one patches that are larger than the games install.

I want them to just call it XBOX. Can't get any worse.

No. They confirmed it's neither TES or Fallout. Two new IPs. It's unlike them to go "Yeah, we meant Fallout all along. Fooled ya!" and well, it backfire on them.

Regarding E3. It was 2011 that Skyrim got announced at E3. Skyrim Remastered was announced at this year's E3. Hang on, that was 5 years ago. *Gasp* That's as many as 5 lots of years! CONFIRMED! Half Life 3 will happen as foretold when the sons of Howard remastered their stuff. When Fallout become Fallcraft and the two wikis go to war. When the Game of Thrones reaches it's end and when South Park nicks the Dragonborn. When EA stopped pumping out crap, it would arrive. In the coding language, it is known as 1111122211112221100001100101010101. HALF LIFE 3! When the Gabe stopped eating all the pies, it would return.

The rest of us know that Skyrim was originally announced on December 11th 2010, at LA Convention centre - a total of 11 months before release. Bethesda's first ever E3 appearance was last year, for the announcement of Fallout 4.

They truly do have nothing more than a smattering of names on a whiteboard. They are no closer to making a new game than we are!

Sounds terminal- as if they have run out of ideas or at least gone into some kind of perma cogitative trance.

Hope we get a "New Vegas" like sequel to Fallout 4 in the meantime.

Obsidian's doing its own thing instead of working off others' IPs now? That's cool. What are they up to, I'll admit to not keeping up-to-date on what the gaming world is up to (except on Pokémon Sun & Moon. Trying to keep the hype down, failing miserably.)

Off the top of my head, Damnit, i know the game but can't recall the title. I think, it's the Banner saga? They are more into doing their own stuff nowadays and well, they kinda got screwed out of royalties or bonuses by Zenimax or Bethesda's publishing side over a stupid metacritic requirement that they missed out by 1. Literally 1 point. But they have said they are up for doing another Fallout. They are just too busy atm. Will look into it tomorrow to see what they are up to.
