Banned a few spammers.

Fairly sure this is one. One generic post, completely off-topic.

I saw that too a couple hours ago. Looks off but nothing more than that one post.

Unfortunately not enough justification for a ban

3 post in various subforums by ningling2016, all oftopick two seams about runescape or something in that style, one was supposed to be "rumor" about wow gold x (x is number what keeps on changing thru same post) , even if it would be posted in blizzard forums it would still count as bs and post count feeder. maybe spammers/bots now "learned" (and failed at that) to use posts from other forums.

I saw that too and none of it made sense. I didn't realize it was WOW related, for all I knew it could have been modding or MMO

Staff still routinely check and sweep for spambots or removal of malicious posts

(The wiki is still busy with activity, therefore the forums and its backlog are always a potential target. Meanwhile the majority of the community has shifted into our discord server for active discussions n debates. Q&As and problem solving still seems to be the forum's bread and butter)

UESP: I have not been banned for anything stupid yet but at the same time there doesn't seem to be anyone on here to respond at all most of the time. No one is going to spam this place. You need traffic for commercials. If someone comes in here and doesn't kiss the ass of the local E-Lord that is not spam. That is being an adult.

This isn't a discussion thread btw, but to address something of not, spambots aren't people but automated accounts that post malicious links and collect data, neither of which are good for the site or any potential user.

This is why staff still routinely check up and screen accounts even in this reduced traffic capacity. Thankfully we have some wonderful folks flagging posts which makes everything easier

Obvious spammer is obvious. Three posts (1, 2, 3) in the ESO forum that have absolutely nothing to do with ESO.
