Warning! This roleplay contains mature content. By participating you are acknowledging you may be exposed to foul language, descriptions of violence and other mature content. Title: Stuck In A Room II DM: Musicman247 Setting: Present day, present time. Number of Players: 10-12 Premise: You wake up in a room, trapped with other people you may or may not know. How do you get out? Can you get out? Start Date: Friday October 5, 2012 Rules and such: - If you do not post at least once every two days (48 hours) I will drop you, unless you notify me ahead of time. - If your one post every two days is not substantial (ie. "Bob looked around.") I will drop you. - Do not cheat. Play as your character, not yourself. - If you want to whisper to another character via PM that is fine, but add me as a recipient of the PM. - This is not SIAR I. This is a different room with different rules and different objectives. Don't think you know how this is going to go down because you have no freaking idea. - Have fun. Character sheet User Name: Character Name: Age: Ethnicity: Physical Description: Background: Current Address: Occupation: Relations (Another Player): Family: Hobbies: This time around I will allow you to know someone in the room if you would like. You can know one other person and you must work that out with the other person prior to submitting your sheets. You can be any age from anywhere. English does not have to be your character's native language. Post the age and physical description of your character in this thread after PMing me. Index of Events

I'd love to join again. Question: The plot isn't the same, is it? |

I am so [&@%!] in. Reserve me a spot though, cos I doubt I'll have time to do up a sheet for most of the day today. |

@Matt: Premise is the same, story is completely different. @Br3ad: Correct. Even stucker. @Nova: I want your real address so I can send you ARG materials. Yeah right. I want to know where your character lives. @Believe: I will try. @Everyone: only serious entries, please. |

I will PM a sheet tomorrow morning. Because I'm tired now. |

Sounds good, Leilah. If I get too many applications I will open a second room (would have been SIAR III) just to keep the groups small. Further clarification: You can be any age from anywhere. English does not have to be your character's native language. |

I have had an anonymous user suggest that we make the application system open and not PM-based. Their reasoning is it is too easy to make similar characters without even knowing it. My thought is that not knowing anything about anyone gives you a true sense of disorientation when you start the game. So I'll put it to a vote. Poll will be up momentarily. Hold all submissions until we have a decision regarding the submission process. |

What if only some of the information was public? I like the mystery of not knowing anyone else. It encourages you to think outside of the box for how to be unique (like Deandra being a child in SIAR I). |

Post subject: | Re: Stuck In A Room II: Sign-Up is Open |
How bout we just post the basics publicly? With additional information submitted to Musicman via PM. Hopefully that would give us the best of both. By "basics" I mean, name, age, gender, and a hint as to their profession/background or something. On second thought, this might be harder than I thought... |

Wait, so no bringing in old characters? |

Post subject: | Re: Stuck In A Room II: Sign-Up is Open |
The anonymous user was suggesting only the basic information, not the full character sheet. |

Post subject: | Re: Stuck In A Room II: Sign-Up is Open |
The problem, as Believe pointed out, is how much info is too much? How much is too little? The situation the anonymous user (AMM) described would have only been found out if occupation were listed in the public information. That can give away a lot right there. @Frosty: No. Never. |

Maybe just age, appearance, and current address is enough. Those are things you can find out about a person in a few seconds or minutes of conversation. The rest is stuff you would discover as you got to know them. You wouldn't know deeper things about a stranger, right? |

I think just age and appearance. They are two things you can tell by looking at them. |

I suppose gender would be a given with appearance. |
