I've decided to make my first RP. :D

Description:
3E418

The players are a band of adventurers living a carefree life of adventure. Their home is wherever their camp is set up. As children they had the dream of being an adventurer, becoming rich by looting all manner of dungeons; forts, tombs, caves, shipwrecks. As young men and women they made their dream a reality and set out to pursue the life they sought. But time is merciless. As the adventures go on life constantly evolves. Relationships change. Friends become foes and bitter rivalries lead to bloodshed. Former comrades fall in love and retire. Death claims the unskilled and the unfortunate. But new adventurers come to take the place of old ones and thus; the band can never die.

Well that was quite nice wasn't it? As you have probably understood my idea was this:
We create a fictional band of characters, 'Adventurers', who live a life of adventure and share a common "home", their camp and therefore live together. But we don't only write the action, but the "boring" parts too. Adventurers have a life. They have relationships. Friends, rivals, maybe even lovers.

Characters:
Character sheet example:
Name:Tim
Race:Nord
Age:23
Specialazation:Barbarian. Fast, agile and good at fighting with blunt weapons. Can take on most oponents
Appearance: Tall, muscular with long, fair blond hair.
Personality: Adept and ferocious in battle but clumsy around people. He finds it hard to talk about himself and his emotions; therefore he doesn't talk much
It would also be good if you had some sort of backstory in mind, in case another character asks you about it.
Specialazations can be anything, like archery, lockpicking, deciphering ancient languages, magic and whatnot. There can also be various combinations like smithing and magic which makes for magic armour and weapons. Whatever you think.

Playing:
Every post will be labeled "Camp" or "Adventure [characters and dungeon]".
In Adventure we write our adventures, describing what we did and what we found. In Camp we talk to each other. About various things. Anything your character wants, be it themselves, the other adventurers, politics. Anything. There we build our relationships. If you don't like another character you tell your friend. You can show affection for other characters. If they like you too we've got a romance. You know how social life works. However in the camp thread everyone can hear you. If you want to have private conversations you can go somewhere where the others can't hear you. In other words: PMs. This RP is likely to involve a lot of PMing.

Rules:
1) No Mary Sue/Gary Sue characters. Have weaknesses. They're good for you.
2)No controlling other characters. All you can control is you.
3) You may kill other adventurers with the consent of a DM. But then their friends might kill you
4)However don't kill other characters just for the heck of it. Stick to the RP.
5)If your character dies you may create a new one
6) Only DMs can control dungeons. You can not raid a dungeon without the consent and guiding of a DM.
7) That means: You can not create or kill enemies and/or find loot. You can only attack the enemies that the DMs create for you. You can also spot chests which a DM then fills with loot for you to discover (or not).
8 ) Only DMs can control other characters. You can only speak to and attack other characters. The outcome of assaults on characters is decided by a DM.
9) Shops are also controled by DMs. You can't just go and buy anything. It has to be in the merchant's inventory (which is provided to you by a DM)
10) You can PM DMs if you want to find and/or do something specific such as a certain item or killing another characters. The DM will then decide what you can or can not do.
11) Only DMs can create plot twists.
12)In other words: You can only control your characters actions. Not the outcome of them.
13)A DM may be appointed by another DM
14) Punctuation is a must. If you do not use punctuation in your posts properly then I will be annoyed. Somewhat incorrect grammar, syntax and spelling is okay because not everyone is a native english speaker and some people may be dyslectic. But try to do that correctly too
15) This isn't really a rule, but try not to litter the actual RP with spoiler tags.
DM rules:
DMs are there to ensure that the RP doesn't get out of hand. If a character begins playing in a manner that is bad for the RP they may terminate that character. DMs can create new story elements such as the moving of the camp, various political events and the like. A DM can not give his own character an advantage over others nor can he do as he pleases (eg: constantly finding good loot etc.). If a DM other than myself wants to make a major change in the RP he must ask me first.

On labels: Since labels only seem to be added whenever they're remembered I've decided to write a rule for them. Labels must be used whenever you post after someone who is not part of your immediate surroundings.

That's all I think is needed for now. Feel free to ask me things I haven't covered.

ES Games: Oblivion GOTY, Skyrim
Platform: PS3, PC
Status: Exploiting poor people.
UESPoints: 0
Name: Leowyn Mucro (I like the name)
Race: Breton
Age: 24
Specialazation: Spellsword, fast and deceptive with a sword. Uses Illusion and alchemy to give himself the advantage in battle
Personality: Leowyn is a clever and tactical person. Socially, he is more likley to open up on a 1 on 1 convosation, but he enjoys being with the group. He is a generally kind person, but is known to have shown streaks of merciless brutallity.
I'll think of the backstory when I'm asked.

Specialisations: Sword play, agility, Illusion magic, alchemy and is fairly competant at lock picking. He can make himself invisible for a short time.

Appearance: Leowyn is 6ft1 in height. He wields a long steel longsword (similar to the Kotn sword) and wears Mithril armour. He also has a spare set of clothes. A longsleaved creame top and black trousers.

He has a lean but toned build, he has deep blue eyes and a medium length brown hair.

Recycling characters, much?

Spoiler:
This is the first RP i decided to join. I'm not good at this but i'm going to try my best.So please go easy on me until i get it right

Name: Owen Knight
Race: Dark Elf
Age: 19
Specialization: Assassin, using daggers and short swords he prefers speed and precision over strength and blows. He's also an expert of sneaking and knows some lock piking
Personality: He's calm and cold blooded and calculated. He usually looks for peaceful ways of resolving trouble. If that fails and he runs or fights. He never kills without reason. He has some weaknesses, he likes drinking and womens and these two are the reason of most of his trouble. Also due to a small childhood accident, he can't run very fast and jump from to high places.
Appearance: Slim, average height, dark hair, pointi ears :P . He wears a dark hood, and a leather suit of armor. For fighting uses an elven shortsword

If you would be so kind as to accept me. *Batts eyelids*

Name: Alentus
Race: Breton
Age: 19
Specialization: Battlemage, excellent with both blade and magicka. Also skilled in the arts of Restoration, Conjuration. Wears heavy armor and wields an ebony longsword, which he uses with deadly skill, along with destructive bolts of Lightning. When in dire situations, he calls forth skeletal warriors which aid him in battle. Alentus also is skilled in Restoration, he can not only heal himself and others, but can cure poison without the need of potions.
Backstory: When Alentus was growing up in High Rock, he always dreamed about being an Adventurer. His whole family had been adventurers and were skilled in everything, so he kinda grew into it. On his 13th birthday, his father gave him and old set of iron armor. At first, Alentus didn't care about the armor, but when he found a book in his mothers study, he learned that the armor was ancient, dating back the days of Saint Alessia. When he first took the armor into battle, he found out that it was enchanted, it gave him increased agility and speed, but weighed him down a bit. Despite this, he still wears the armor with pride, and it has served him well.

Umm, I've never been involved in an RP before, but I have read some here, so I kinda get the jist of it, I just hope that I don't stuff up.

I'll probably sign up, but I have some questions:
Does this take place at a set location in Tamriel(Possibly outside too?) Will the camp be moved around as time goes by? And finally, will you make different threads for "adventure" and "camp"?

Alright, I'll have a bash at it.

Name: Voryn Othren
Race: Dunmer
Age: 153

Appearance: Average height for a Dunmer. Bald, with golden earrings, and another ring through the bridge of his nose. His face is ink-tattooed with the hand of Almsivi, broken in places by the scar that crosses the left side of his face. He has one eye and a silvery goatee. He wears an old set of worn and battle-scarred (though dutifully cleaned and maintained) indoril armour, however the helmet remains in his pack, a precious item saved for only battle or ceremonial occasions.

Specialisation: Warrior - ex ordinator of House Indoril, skilled with most forms of single-handed weaponry, though is particular towards blunted weapons like maces, and favours a shield. Raised from an early age to loathe the outlander, he now struggles to adapt to his life amongst them. He is a pious man, devoted to the Tribunal, but quick to anger and fosters an unfriendly demeanour towards others, save his few friends, to whom he is in fact fiercely loyal.

He is physically fit and quite strong, however finds trouble with marching and running long distances, thanks to an old battle-injury in his right leg, which has forever left him with a limp that, curiously, no healer has ever been able to correct. Thanks to another injury, he is also blind in his left eye, and his vision is severely compromised as a result.

Spoiler:
So, two bretons and two dark elves so far... Should be interesting. :)

I may join. My time in the Molag Bal roleplay is shortening.

Just a tip, I'd envision the roleplay being both harder to follow and harder to keep active if there were two threads. A simple title to your entry would probably suffice.

I added Appearance to the character sheet. Can't believe I left that out.
To answer Per's questions: The location isn't set. The camp will move according to which dungeons we've looted, politics and other things.
@Matt: Well I thought of that. But that would get a bit confusing wouldn't it? I'm not sure. We can vote :)
I'll post my character later today, or tomorrow. Since we've got so many RPers already and they all seem different than what I had expected I'll change the startoff.

Well why not. I'll join but may not stay, just warning you now.

Name: Boon
Race: Khajiit
Age: 21
Specialization: Mage
Appearance: A dark brown furred Khajiit, and an average Khajiit otherwise. He wears a fancy light leather armor set.
Personality: He's always light-spirited but can get very serious. He usually takes the practical side and follows his head rather than heart.

Name: Llela Ienith
Race: Dunmer
Age: 27
Gender: F
Specialization: While not a particularly gifted warrior, rogue or mage, she wields the sword in tandem with powerful inherent pyromantic abilities to be fearsome in combat.
Appearance: Shoulder-length black hair and ruby eyes, with blue-grey skin. Pretty, with full purplish lips and big eyes.
She grew up poor in southern Vvardenfell, turning to the thieves guild for subsistence. She recenty parted amicably with her thieves guild compatriots, and travelled to Cyrodiil to leave the life of crime. She fell in with dungeon raiding and occasional freelance mercenary work.
Personality: Llela usually does not take things seriously, and can appear rude or cavalier to strangers. She is, unsurprisingly, very mercenary in business dealings. She is a very loyal friend, however. If under stress, her Vvardenfeller accent is much more pronounced.
She wears leather armour, and utilizes her rough Iron longsword with her right hand, and using her left hand for channeling magic. She sometimes uses a bow, but is not a spectacular marksman. When not in combat, she wears a flax tunic (same as the one in Oblivion), loose brown pants and sandals.

Wow so many characters already :D I'm flattered.
Well here's mine:
Name: Llevana Ther
Race: Dunmer
Age: 25
Appearance: Slender, with a somewhat gaunt face. Shoulder length Auburn wind braids.
Specialization: Nightblade. Uses short blades paired with destruction and alteration magic. While not very adept in either magic school her broad knowledge of basic spells usually gets the job done. Also somewhat adept at sneaking.
Personality: Cheerful and outgoing. Constantly jokes which makes her likeable to some and annoying to others.

Yes I recycled the character I'd made for the Demon of Knowledge :P
Well we have more than enough characters to start. Since we're so many and varied the original startoff can't be done. As soon as I've thought of a new one the RP will start.
Oh and please tell me if you'd prefer separate threads for Camp and Adventure.

I'd rather keep it in one thread tbh. It's up to you though. Also how much of our character backgrounds are we meant to reveal in our info? I figured most of it'd probably be revealed over the course of the RP.

well im going to list the cons and pors of doing both

one thread for both:
pros:
it would be eazy to keep track off and stay active
it would save us the trouble of going to a defreint thread vrey five muints

cons:
i imagien if done wrong it could make it quite cahotic and unneat
hard to follow
exsample
Mark slay the beast with his sword barily breathing
next one
"oh hi mark whats up?"
not much just diyng over here

my advice would be this

you set when we camp
and when we adventure

so in other words
6 hours adventure
then the next you say camp
it will help a lot

kind of like the wearwlof thread
you have a day and night
in this case adventure and camp

Yeah what Muc said will probably work best. But I'm not sure :| What I had in mind for the two threads was to keep adventuring and talking separate. I mean we're not all adventuring together. We might choose to go loot a dungeon alone. Or we might take our best friend.
@Jingles: All personal information is to be revealed during the course of the RP.

It'll also be chaotic to have 9 characters in a single dungeon :P
And someone might not want to go adventuring with someone else. I know it's going to be chaotic. But there's nothing I can really do about that :|
But putting captions over our post might work. As in:

Raylis and Per Adventure:
Raylis and Per looted Fort Blackboot. They got some pretty neat gear. They also discovered that they have some common interests.

Of course the writing will go into more detail and both characters will write their own parts. But remember that not everything has to be necessarily heard by everyone. Boon might have been sleeping when Raylis and Per set off and not know where they are at all. He can ask about it when they come back and they can summarize it.
