Considering the time of year (September), I've decided to start a roleplay based on, you guessed it - school. Whether it will be based on High School or Middle School I have not decided. Probably High School.

Does anyone like the idea? Do vote so that I can find out.

Middle school!!!!! It's the most fun time!

I was planning on making a school RP here when I was on holiday, but I never got round to it. I don't know what Middle School actually is, but it's probably nowhere near as fun as High School. I have some ideas for it if you're interested.

It can also be called junior high school. It typically includes people in grades 6 through 8.

Can some smart person translate these school terms into the highly nutritious and delicious terms of the merry ole isle of England for me? Maybe then I will understand. For once.

High school would make for a good mix of comedy, drama and romance. Better throw in a few after school fist fights at the flagpole too for a bit of action.

Of course there would be fights!

A high school role-play would be quite interesting imo. I would make my character a withdrawing nerd who does 3D modelling in his spare time... Wait that's me.

Yeah, Veck, you should totally start a high school roleplay.

I'd join in a heartbeat, although I'd wouldn't have much time for it with school (irony) and Halo: Reach, amongst over things likes sports. Still, I'd join. In other words, do it. (Please.)

I'm currently designing a map of the high school that the roleplay will take place in for Veck.

I'm still hoping Veck will try the roleplay.

Umm... Yeah... I'm not having much luck putting it all together. I'm going to try and get something done with it, but I might not be able to. Just a heads up in case I fail.

What Rassilon means is:

In the UK, we have the year system:

From 1 through to 11 are the Primary and Secondary Schools, dont quote me on individul counties, as every region is diffrent..
11 is when G.C.S.E's take place, one of our main work qualifications.

Years 12 and 13 are Sixth Form{almost made a typo there: Sith }
This is where we get AS and A2 qualifications.

After that you go to Further Education Colleges and/or University.
And here is where we get all of the rest of the big qualifcations like N.V.Q's, Degrees, Doctorates, so on and so forth, bla bla bla....

If like me you were living on the Isle of Wight(small island at the South of England), then we have a diffrent school set-up.

Years 1 through 4 are in Primary School.
Years 5 through 8 are in Middle School.
Years 9 to 11 are in High Schools.
Years 12 and 13 are also in High Schools, but under the Sixth Form system.

Whats the equivlent of our system UK to your set-up USA?

And about your idea, it is up to the roleplay creator, which is King Acunasti I do believe. Might be a bit difficult to implement the British system (my system) if the roleplay is already on it's way you know? still, I'll leave that side of things to the roleplay masters here.
