Hola! This is the first time I'll have two roleplays going at the same time. It's possible, people. It really is. Check this out!

32,600 years before Christ, Central Europe (modern-day Austria)

Europe…32,600 BC…a time of cruelty, death, and extreme climates seemingly rising from the depths of hell itself - ice age.
You are a Cro-Magnon, a Homo sapien, a human being. You are twisted in the struggle to survive through these horrid times. War, hatred, disease - all part of the effort to live through the day. You are not alone in these harsh, icy lands.

Homo neanderthalensis. Your rivals. Your enemies.

They raid your villages. They steal your game. They kidnap your family members. Your people have fought back. Many perished on each side. But the war continued. You must survive through this never ending winter. You must save yourself and your clan from the ruthless Neanderthals. You must be brave. You must be wise. You must keep your species alive.

Your Goals

You have two basic goals in this roleplay.

1, your most important goal - Survive. Food is scarce. Predators tear the lands apart in search for food. To many animals, you are food. Do not serve yourself to them.

2 - Destroy the Neanderthals. They are your enemies. They will not stop until your people no longer walk the planet.

Cro-Magnons vs. Neanderthals

In real history, Cro-Magnons (us) outlived the Neanderthals. But in order to make the storyline awesomer, we’re going to pretend that it was the Cro-Magnons who were at the brink of extinction. Cro-Magnons are designed for speed and agility. But their tall build keeps them from conserving too much heat. They require more clothing in order to survive. The Neanderthals are short and broad. They are built for the ice age. They are not as fast as you, but they are certainly stronger. If you come into close-ranged combat with them, they have the upper hand. However, your weapons are designed for you to strike from a distance. This is what your hold against your rivals.

The Roleplay

You will face many of the dangers that were encountered during the ice age. This includes predators such as sabre-toothed cats, wooly rhinos, wooly mammoths, cave bears, cave lions and much, much more. This also includes other forms of human, such as the Neanderthals. Beware - Other threats may reveal themselves to you as well.

One major factor that will effect you during this roleplay is hunger. You will start of with 90/100 hunger points. The lower the hunger points, the more hungry you are, the less energy you will have to combat your enemies. When that number reaches 0, you’re dead. Heads up, and try to find food.

Another major factor in this roleplay will be body heat. You will begin with 90/96 body temperature points. The lower the number, the more cold you are. When that number reaches the 75-80 range, you may very well be exposed to a disease. At the 50-60 range, these chances of disease will double. The lower, the worse. Like hunger, when this number reaches 0, you’re dead. More clothing and fires will keep your body temperature at a healthy level.

Also note that, while your characters are considered to be “cavemen”, they don’t resemble apes in any shape or form. You’re not a Neanderthal (who do resemble apes in a few ways). They a human beings, just like the people that dominate the world today. So you can speak normally, and you can be attractive. Just like today’s people, except instead of guns and swords, you have spears and stone knives.

You are members of the Kavich Clan of Cro-Magnons. They live in a village atop a large stone hill in the center of a massive forest that is covered in ice and snow. Your leader is D’Ghrint, a powerful warrior, hunter, and excellent leader who has kept the clan alive for a full twenty years now. He is forty years old. The wisewoman is a seventy-two year old woman called Morgrand. She is the spiritual leader of the clan and is apparently a psychic of some kind. She believes that this will be the year the clan will fall to an outside force. D’Ghrint denies this.

Note that the clan speaks common English, like most of us. They are capable of saying more than “ug”.

Different Roles

Generally, males are hunters and females are gatherers. There are exceptions, of course (but these are EXTREMELY rare). No matter the gender, you’ll all have plenty of chances to fight. Remember that.

Overall, if you’re a male, you’ll probably be a hunter. If female, you’ll probably be a gatherer.

Character Sheet

Name (Be creative here too. There weren’t many people back then named John or Kate.):

Age:

Gender:

Height:

Weight:

Hair Color:

Eye Color:

Physical Appearance (general looks, skin tone, posture, etc…):

Clothing (mostly composed of animal skins and furs):

Bio:

Weapons (if you’re a male aka hunter. Females can have small weapons if wanted.):

Your personality will develop throughout the roleplay. That’s why there’s not a personality section in this one.

Rules

1. I’m GM. I’m awesome.

2. This is 34,000 years ago. Think cavemen. No iPods, cell phones, etc…

3. Be realistic. If you’re by yourself and up against a full-grown sabre-toothed cat without any weapons, you’re screwed.

4. If you do stupid stuff, you’ll die. You can make new characters after yours is killed, though.

5. Romance is allowed.

6. Put “Monkeys are divine” in your post if you read these.

7. Have fun.

Also, I am going to draw a few NPC’s I have planned for this roleplay. If you want me to draw your character as well, just tell me in your post.

The List

Norroen Dyrd - Ugh

Veck - Teem Gransk

Generalno1 - Uzgal

Savilius - Ucknag The Gravedigger

John117 - Erchinal

Duh - Radkor

Hmm... This looks interesting; even if I don't join I will follow the progress. Oh, and by the way, monkeys are divine :D

Well, now that you've said monkeys were divine, you have to join! :P

But seriously, you should join. You've taken part in two comedies. Take another step up the roleplay staircase!

This "Draw your character" idea actually appeals to me. I have been eager to draw Lucy and Debbie for quite a while, and I'd like to draw this roleplay's character as well. So, one caveperson coming right up!

Well they did have their own language. It's just that...we don't know what the hell it was.
May as well go with English.

Name: Ugh

Age: 15

Gender: male

Height: 170 cm

Weight: 60 kg

Hair Color: red

Eye Color: green

Physical Appearance (general looks, skin tone, posture, etc…):Scrawny arms, long, thin neck with a protruding Adam's apple, large hands and feet. A thick layer of freckles.

Clothing (mostly composed of animal skins and furs): oh, just a couple of furry skins held together with a rough broad belt.

Bio: Ugh has always dreamed of becoming a hunter and doing something grand like single-handedly felling a mammonth. Oh, and getting a proper, warrior-like name, of course. Ugh is no name for a self-respecting caveman. But all he ever achieved was messing up the few hunts that he took part in, by getting in the way of the adults, or scaring the prey, or accidentally falling into the freshly-dug trap. Finally, the clan decided that his place was at the women's side. So right now Ugh is a gatherer, but he is determined to do his best to earn the respect of his clan. He often strays on his own, looking for animals that he can hunt, so the women always keep an eye out for him.

Weapons: Ugh spends much time trying to make himself a decent spear, as his previous one was taken away when he got "demoted" to gatherer. But so far, he efforts have been fruitless.

I'd like to join, but I want to be a hunter. I always play females in RPs here, so is it alright if I'm that extremely rare exception?

Ci. You can be kind of a cross between the two. Mainly a gatherer, yet is usually permitted to accompany the men on safer hunts like buffalo, elk, and ibex. Note that the three mentioned are still extremely dangerous, and you may run into some other seriously dangerous creatures.

EDIT: Nice character Norroen. Welcome to your first serious roleplay. There will be a bit of comedy mixed in, of course.

Name: Teem Gransk

Age: 16

Gender: female

Height: 156cm

Weight: 48kg

Hair Color: dark brown

Eye Color: blue

Physical Appearance: Lightly built. Long hair, a small nose. Quite good looking.

Clothing: Rough coat and trousers made out of deer skins. Also has an extra layer of bear skin that she wears around her on hunts. Shoes made of deerskin, with wooden soles.

Bio: From when she was a young child, Teem has always been one of the most hot-headed members of the tribe. She is quite reckless and brave, and will often risk herself and disobey commands if the tribe needs more food. She does have self control however, and is smart enough to know not to throw her life away when unnecessary. Her slightly violent edge made her more suitable for the hunters, particularly as her father trained her with weapons from a young age. She hopes to be one of those that lead the tribe away from the path of extinction, and on to glory.

Weapons: A strong bow and arrow (are those allowed?), made of oak and crafted for her by her father. She also carries a small flint dagger, and a quiver of arrows.

Nice characters everyone! Yes, bows and arrows are permitted. But don't expect them to do much...if any damage to larger enemies. My cousin is putting his character together on lined paper as we speak. Once his is up here, we can begin.

Okay. This is pretty much the prehistoric version of Raletus in College of the Nine Divines.

Name: Radkor

Age: Between 17 and 21. He’s not even sure himself. He is most likely 19 or 20, but nobody knows for sure whether he is older or younger.

Gender: Male

Height: 5’7

Weight: 145 lbs

Hair Color: Dark Brown

Eye Color: Grey

Physical Appearance: A darker skin tone with long, dark brown hair. Modern-age people would most likely describe him as having an “elfish” face with high cheekbones and a cocky grin. He is very handsome. His build is quite simple. Not too skinny nor fat. Not too short nor tall.

Clothing: A large cloak composed of the fur of a cave bear (a creature he often brags of successfully killing). A pair of deerskin trousers and shoes.

Bio: Radkor was secretly born to a couple of which were split into two clans - his father from the Kavich Clan and his mother from a clan that has now disappeared into the folds of history. When his mother died in childbirth, it was his father who raised him to become the man he was destined to be. His father did so in secret, though, because of the fact that his mother hailed from a different tribe. His father’s family was known to have only married men or women from the Kavich clan. He did not want to reveal that he had broken the tradition. Therefore Radkor’s age is currently unknown. His father died when he was a young teenager. But at that point, he was young enough to care for himself. He became a gatherer, as he was too young to become a hunter. Finally, when he was deemed worthy by D’Ghrint, he was given his own spear and became one of the clan’s hunters. He often thinks himself a celebrity, having killed a cave bear single handedly (although it was actually an accident, and he had not intentionally killed the beast…it was pure luck), and aided the clan in many successful hunts. He has much skill, strength, and bravery. It’s just that…he is known to boast a bit.

Weapons: A long wooden spear, a small yet very sharp blade of stone.

It's pwnage time. :P

Right, I'm adding my cousin to the list right now. We will begin very soon. I really like a lot of these characters, as well as a lot of their names. Especially John117's "Erchinal".

Oh, and by the way...

Okay.. This is my first role play, and the first that really grabbed my attention. I did some research on both Cro magnons, and Neanderthals, and I find that I'm actually really interested in the subject. Okay, so here goes nothing

Name: Hinvor

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Height: 6'

Hair/Beard color: Dark brown

Clothing: Stitched hide trousers, a heavy fur robe, a pair of moccasins, and a tooth necklace

Bio: Loyal to his clan, Hinvor knows who the true enemy is, and from a young age, knew when to run, and when to fight. He now is a hunter in the clan, utilizing a heavy stone spear, lighter Javelins, and a smaller stone hatchet. In terms with the tribe, Hinvor acts as a shepard, being the problem solver and solution maker for the heated discussions. He knows that the only way their race will survive is if everyone bands together.

Also, do we need a color for this?

Height: 165 cm (people were smaller back then)

Weight: 70kg

Hair Color: medium brown

Eye Color: green-blue ish

Physical Appearance: heavy build, not fat, muscular, but not extreme. Can't say he's stunning, but he's not ugly either.

Clothing: Loin cloth and a vest of wolf skin

Weapons: A spear; a long stick with a sharp flint rock at the end. Has a bow and a quiver with five flint arrows.
----------

Hope it's accepted.

I need some one (who knows Mass Effect) to name their character 'Shepard'....
We'll have an epic name battle.
