Juliet looked at Brad, who clearly wasn't as OK as he claimed to be. "How old are you, kid?" she asked him.

"There's quaters on the next floor up," Eva said, "If anyone needs me, I'll be up a level and in the command room."

"I am here to inform you that the charge will be soon," The Prince said, "The sages are opening a portal as we speak."

Brad was surprised at being addressed by another woman and ended up fumbling his multi-tool. He juggled it from hand to hand trying to get a grip on it before it finally clattered to the floor. A whispered, "sh*t" came from the teen's mouth before looking up at Juliet. "I'm fine, really," he said. He then realized that the woman hadn't even asked that. "Oh, uh...eighteen, ma'am."

Nate walked out of the room and up the stairs, looking for a room to sleep in. He found one and entered, immediately laying on the bed. However for once sleep avoided him. This mission, troubled him. Why he didn't know. Maybe it had something to do with the lack of info during the briefing, maybe not. Either way he was aggravated that he couldn't sleep.

"Just 18?" Juliet looked a little sympathetic as she walked over to Brad. "We were all nervous at that age." She looked at him closely, inspecting him. "But those nerves will get you killed. You need to relax. Really." She leaned in close, and asked, quietly: "Have you tried to, you know, release some of your tension?"

If people thought Brad's eyes couldn't get bigger, they were wrong. "Uh..um...I don't.....um. I don't know what..." The young man was so embarrassed he couldn't even finish his statement. His eyes turned down to the floor and he swallowed hard.

Juliet laughed upon seeing Brad's embarrassment, but not unkindly. "Seriously, kid," she said, and put a hand on his shoulders. "You need to find a way to relax. And my suggestion doesn't waste ammo, screw witj your reflexes, plus it's legal. And you can't get that embarrassed here, or this is going to be hell for you." She smiled, and added, a little more kindly: "Things will work out OK."

Brad was not used to such forwardness, his training being mainly civilian. "I...I know about...that stuff, I just.." both of his legs were bouncing up and down now as he was biting the nail on his right ring finger. "Not used to talking about it in public," he muttered.

Juliet shook her head and gave Brad a few pats on the shoulder. "Just think about it, OK? You're not going to be able to shoot worth a damn if you're this stressed. And if you can't shoot, well, we're all f*cked. So yeah. Relax. We'll be fine." She didn't seem to realise that she was contradicting herself.

"But you just said..." Brad started, even more confused now. "I...I'll..." Brad leaned over to Juliet's ear and asked, "Do you know where the bathroom is, then?"

"I expect you'll be able to find one upstairs. If our quarters are there, there should be a bathroom." Juliet grinned, and said: "I'm going to try to find a bed, get in a last nap anyway, so we might as well walk together." She walked towards the door.

Brad watched her for a moment, then quickly picked up his multi-tool and in his awkward stride made it to the door with her. "O-okay," he said, his eyes traveling around her body before meeting her gaze.

Juliet smiled at Brad and walked out of the door, made her way to the next floor, and searched for a place to sleep.

Brad followed close behind, not realizing what Juliet was looking for.

There was a community bunk room- Nate had occupied one of the beds but there were several others.
No doubt there was a bathroom at the back.

"Well here we are, kid," Juliet said. "I'm going to try to get some sleep." She found a bed in a corner and lay down on it.

Brad walked past the bunks, taking a passing glance at Juliet as she lay on her bed, headed for the bathroom. He found a stall and sat down on the toilet. He closed his eyes and imagined his conversation with Juliet went a bit differently, ending with them sharing a bunk...but not sleeping.

After several minutes Brad exited the restroom feeling a bit more relaxed. He found a bunk near Juliet's and lay down facing her back. He wasn't sleepy.

After his tenth consecutive bullseye, Vic felt it was about time to get some sleep, he would need all his energy when he was sent in to Washington. Holstering his gun he began to walk back to the bedrooms he had see earlier, some of the beds were taken but he could still see some empties. Taking the bed directly across from Brad and Juliet, he closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep.

Nate opened his eyes as everyone else entered the room. He noticed how Brad was looking at Juliet, and laughed silently to himself. Then, deciding that he would have no chance at sleeping, chose to get up and walk around. He left their quarters and walked into the hallway.

Juliet opened her eyes and turned on her back. No matter how many times she told herself that she could do with getting just a little bit more rest, she was just too well-rested to fall asleep.

Brad saw Juliet turning and quickly, and with much noise and motion, flipped onto his back as well and pretended to sleep.
