Meera sat down, cross-legged. She was concentrating on a spot within the tent. She imagined a table, a set of chairs, a plate of steaming steak and gravy and potatoes. She thought of a nice bottle of wine and some scented candles.

Markus watched on intently.

There was a pop. A dining set, complete with tables, chairs, food, wine, candles, everything, appeared in front of Markus.

"Dead posh," Markus commented.

"If you don't like it, I can change it into a bowl of peas and a bucket of water." grinned Meera.

"Who said I didn't like it?" Markus retorted, "Let's eat."

Meera sat down and picked up her knife and fork.

Markus sat down also.
He looked at what there was to eat.

Meera had conjured steak, peas, potatoes and gravy.

Markus tried the steak.

"It's no good," Yalveni said. "I can't even warm my hands up."

"You should get that wound seen to. Make sure it doesn't get infected."

THe steak was lovely, as was everything Meera conjured. The steak was quite dry but the lovely gravy combated this.

Markus took another chunk of the steak as he looked to see if Meera was eating.

Meera had already started on her steak. She left it half finished and topped her glass up with wine.

"I could heal it for you, if you wanted." Gelnius offered Yalveni.

Markus drank some of the wine.

THe wine was powerful in taste. It burned Markus' throat. He liked it.

"This is great wine," Markus said as he took another sip of it.

Meera grinned guiltily. She had summoned it from a world famous vineyard.

Markus smiled back.
"So how does this work?" He asked, "Is it created from magic?"

Meera leaned over the table to get closer to Markus. Her bottom was perched on the edge of her seat. Her loose-fitting clothes slunk further down her body, revealing more of her curves. She looked into Markus' eyes.

"No. No. I'm not that good. I summoned them from somewhere else."

"Ah," Markus said doing his best to keep his eyes on her face.

"It's getting a bit hot in here." Meera observed. "It must be that ash."

She undid the top button of her already very-low down shirt.

Markus quickly glanced down.
"It must be."

Yalveni shrugged not caring if he was healed or not.
