"It was a joke," Eva sighed, "You know- Mission Impossible?"

"Oh," said Brad. He put his hands in his lap and continued rocking. "So when do we leave?" he asked timidly.

Tylvenot, smiled weakly, he said nothing, but looked on as the others prepared. "Why must we fight," he thought, "I remember the old tales, but I do not see the profit in this?" And then he spoke, "Many will feel the sting of my arrows, and fall to my blade. Human craftsmanship has never been able to match elven."

"Yes our victory will be swift," Lemot said.

"We're about an hour out," Eva said, "Are you okay?"

Brad looked around nervously as if someone near him was who Eva was talking to. "Me?" he asked, pointing to his chest.

"Yeah, you look a little shaky," Eva said.

Brad's right leg began bouncing up and down. He wrapped his right arm around his abdomen and put his chin in his left hand. "No no, I'm fine," he said quickly, his eyes wide.

Realising they weren't leaving quite yet, Vic walked back to where the rest of the squad was located. He sat back down in the far corner where he had been originaly seated before starting to play with the safety switch on his MAG-7.

"Liar," Eva said sitting next to Brad, "Now tell me what's wrong, we're going to be working together so we should start trusting each other."

"No, really, I'm fine," said the mousey teen, turning away from the woman.

"Fine," Eva said as she stood before adressing everyone, "Any questions?"

"Well, I better practice my archery," Tylvenot said, as he began to loosen arrows. He had trained his whole life to be ready for this, and yet, he didn't know why, but he was afraid. For what he was not sure.

"Do you have grenades ?" Vic asked looking up at Eve. "And music of some description, I need something to pass the time."

Nate opened his eyes, feeling he should contribute something to this 'briefing' if it could be called that. "So, do we get anymore info, or are we going in blind?" He looked at the others in the room, and as an after though added, "I'm Nate. Guess if we're gonna work together you should know who I am."

"Unfortunatly there's little we know about the situation," Eva said, "Grenades are kept locked up, the last thing we need is one going off. But you will recieve a few. Music? Not quite sure but there is a firing range on the first door on your right in the corridor."

"And practice you should," A voice said from the dark.
An Elf walked in but he was no ordinary warrior. He stood at 7foot, with golden hair and stormy grey eyes- Prince Jarot.
"Show one weakness and the Humans will exploit it."

"Better than nothing." Vic replied, before walking to the firing range. Upon reaching it he began to fire at the targets with his desert eagle.

Brad took out his multitool and started flipping through the different arms, naming each in a soft voice as he went. "Philips screwdriver, flat head screwdriver, bottle slash can opener, leather puncher, saw blade, knife blade, wire cutter, needle nose pliers, compass, scissors, tweezers..."

In the astral plane, or as he perceived it to be, Enteriot heard a loud screech. The sound of a banshee or some unfortunate creature. He saw a flash of a great Narbonel being consumed by fire and he was sent crashing back into his body clutching at his chest and breathing heavily. "wha...What was that...." He muttered.

Hush," Tylvenot said, "It is the Prince! My liege, we await your orders."

"My sincerest apologies...." He bowed trembling slightly. There is something terribly wrong....

"Is something the matter?", Tylvenot, quietly asked "You were rather loud. Calm your nerves old man, you must be ready."

"I.... There is something wrong in the world.... Horribly wrong. I heard the whole world screaming." Enteriot said... "I was attempting to see what lies ahead but i am not sure what i saw." "Old? I am a mere child compared to the oldest of us..."

Nate lloked at Eva. "We have quarters on this ship? I'd like to get some shuteye before we start this mission. No point going in delirious from lack of sleep." That might be a slight exaggeration, it couldn't be more than a few hours before they reached their destination, right? he thought.
