Matthias gently felt a tap on his back, when a cold sensation covered him, waking him instantly. He was covered in freezing cold water, one of the rebels had woke him up. He cursed, and ran off into the forest. He looked around, and saw a small river running nearby. He sat on the wet rocks, and closed his eyes.

Aria watched the celebration with a smile. A bonfire was burning at the middle of the camp. The rebels were laughing loudly, drinking wines and beers, firing their weapons at targets, and playing music with their lutes. A small boy approached her. He couldn't have been more than five years old. "Miss!" he said, jumping in the air as he waved his arms up and down. "Will you dance with me?"

Aria laughed. "Of course I will!" She held each of his hands and twirled him around, throwing him into the air and skipping around he fire with him. They were both laughing. She knelt down beside him. "You're not a bad dancer, hun." she said to him. "I bet the ladies will be flocking to you when you grow up!"

The boy smiled. "Thank you!" He ran into a crowd of rebels. Aria laughed and sat on a nearby log, watching all of the people dance and sing.

Matthias sat up from the rocks he was occupied at. He was feeling happy, for once, and walked back to the camp. He saw a large bonfire had erupted in the middle of the camp. Matthias searched the crowd, and saw Aria. He walked over to her, and quietly said:
"Hey, Aria, i never really got a chance to talk to you, wish to dance?" He asked shyly.

"I'd be honored." Aria said, standing from the log and taking Matthias's hand. "Come on!" She pulled him near the fire and held both of his hands tightly. "I hope you're a good dancer. I'm not wearing shoes, so it'll hurt if you step on my foot." She laughed. "Ready?"

Matthias was surprised with Aria's strength. He was glad, though. He smiled at Aria, she pulled him over to the bonfire.
"Hope you are a good dancer!" He laughed.

Stephan smiled when he saw Aria and Matthias dancing near the fire, It was always nice to see people enjoying themselves like this, Especially with the current state of affairs. He'd been thinking about the talk of heros and the plan to use the gate. It sounded too fantastic, after all, how much was the possibility of a cullis gate appearing in a cellar? but there would be time to worry later, for now, he was going to enjoy himslf. He finished his last bit of beer and joined the rest for the celebration.

Garland sat down next to Sevill and nudged him gently.

"Lad, about that cullis gate, in the morning talk to me about that, but for tonight i'm going to be so drunk I won't know my own, name." He got himself and Sevill a glass of beer. " Get that down you lad, best part of this is that it's that captain order."

Putting his glass down for a brief moment he launched as many fireballs into the air as quickly as humanly possible without killing himself.

"Enjoy the lights everyone!" He joined in with the dancing with the others.

Sevil grinned at Aria as she patted Matthias, whom lay at his feet. " Haha, dream about pastures more grand than this one. Times less hard. Enjoy it, for we may not see many for a while my friend. "

Later on as he watched the now awoken Matthias dancing around the giant fire with the foreign women Aria. A twinge of envy lighted inside of him... but enough of that. No, this was a time for dance, celebration. A time for joy. He hated every minute of it.

Garlands actions and words, made Sevil grin even more. Inside and out. " Yes, Ill make sure of it. Ahhh beer? hahaha, I appreciate the gesture I really do, but I do not drink. I am completely vegan... my views on life have always been too... well just too damn serious. Yet do not dwell on it tonight Garland my fellow will user! My views are not yours, so enjoy it! " Who was he too put his views on overs. He must at least make an effort.

When then Garland began to fire Inferno, Sevil joined him, shocking the balls so they exploded into many different colours. After this Sevil looked around at the party, feeling so out of place. They party while the world suffers... he could not figure the logic. "Yet I think this, but am I just being a kill-joy?... No, It is wrong surely? Corrupt... but Is it? "

"Hang on a minute Garland, I think I will try this beverage..."

Walking over to where his life would have ended he walked up to the table for a final time picked up a lute and placed a small painting in his pocket.

He walked back to celebrations asking if anyone played the lute, eventually he found soeone who did, and damn well at that. He re-filled his tankard with the strongest beer and drank tankard after tankard of it until he couldn't see straight or talk properly.

A large man loomed over the camp. It was now nighttime.
"Lights out, everyone!" He yelled. Matthias let go of Aria, nodding in appreciation. He walked over to his tent, and laid down in it. He stared at the wall intensely, thinking of anything unrelated to the war. Matthias smiled, and closed his eyes, opening them quickly. He fell asleep. A couple hours later, he woke up, it was still nighttime. He sleepily walked back to the river, unsure why.
"Get him," A man whispered, and Matthias felt a painful kick to the back of his head. He screamed in pain, then blacked out. He woke up soon, and was in a small shack.
"Where am i?" Matthias asked.
"Shut up!" A man said to him, punching him hard in the nose.

Garland woke early and sat outside, something didn't seem right, he roused the others after finding out Matthias wasn't in his tent.

"What could,ve happened, did anyone hear anything?" Garland asked the other rebels.

Matthias spit in the mans face, Matthias was in pain, and his nose was broken.
"Where is your family, i know you have one!" The man yelled.
"In Bowerstone, next to the blacksmiths shop." Matthias spit in the mans face again. The man punched him in the stomach.
"Who is the head of the resistance?" The man boomed.
"I don't know, i am not part of it! Kill me if you must!" Matthias responded. The large man grinned.
"Oh, i don't want to kill you." He said, pulling out a dagger. Matthias screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Shut up!" The man yelled, whacking Matthias in the face with the blade, bloodying his face.

When the man shouted everyone to there beds, Sevil was relieved. His head was buzzing from the alcohol working its way around his body, he didn't like the experience. At all. Finding a nice dry patch of land beneath the stars, he slept the drunk fever off and awoke near twilight time. He tried to sleep but he was troubled by his situation, therefore he slept no more that night. After a time the sun had rose and a new day had begun, when Garland roused Sevil from the river he had been sat near.

" I heard nothing, even though I was up all night. We must find him. He may need our help. " He spoke to the group.

Stephan hadn't gone to sleep since the celebration, it was his way to stay up, he was relaxing in the grass, thinking about what they were going to do, when he heard the scream. His calm was immediately gone, he got up, took out his katana and headed in the direction of the scream, muttering something about too much stress

The large man stared into Matthias' eyes.
"Where is your family?" He asked again. Matthias' response was immediate: He spit in the mans face. The man screamed, and pulled his dagger out. He chopped down onto the tip of Matthias' middle finger, severing anything from the fingernail up. Matthias screamed, and yelled:
"I'll kill you all when i find you!" The large man asked again.
"Where is your family?" Matthias stared at the man, and yelled:
"In Bowerstone Marketplace, right next to the Blacksmiths shop!"
"Good, see you there." The man grinned, leaving through the back entrance. Matthias stared crying. He wobbled the chair back and forth, when Stephen came in.
"Please, get me out of here." Matthias pleaded.

Stephan was surprised, to say the least, upon seeing Matthias tied and bloody, He untied him, and asked "what happened? are you too badly hurt to walk?" And then saw the door wobbling, piecing it together, he said "The others would have heard you too, they'll come shortly, I'll go after the attacker"
And he ran through the door.

Garland ran towards the shack where Stephan had ran off to, in response to a scream.
He had untied Matthias, who had been cut and punched up.

"By Blacks Bood,(William Black that is) Matthias, are you good to go? Or do we need a healer?"

Matthias stood up.
"Just a few cuts and bruises, except my finger, it was cut off. I can walk." Matthias muttered to Garland. Matthias picked his weapons up from the nearby chest.
"Come on, we need to get back to camp, they are looking for my family, to kill them i think, since they are rebels." Matthias hurried out the door.

Garland unsheated his longsword and followed Matthias.

"It would be nice if there was lots of them, then again it'd be nice if there wasn't many."

Sevil rose when he saw the group return to camp. When they told them there plans, he silently drew his Katana and joined the group. He braced himself for the combat that would begin shortly, for the lives he will have to take. "Death, will be an awfully great adventure... " It wasn't a comment directed at anyone in particular but a warning to all who faced them. For those, that adventure begins today.
