As Thomas moved to find the others, Francis turned a corner sharply and nearly ran straight into him.

"Where is this shaking coming from? My God, the castle's set to collapse!"

"I swear, there is some sort of being here, a spirit, a Demon, something. Maybe it's the shadow".
Thomas looked around
"Have seen any monsters?" "Where are the rest of you?".

Francis motioned vaguely to the hallway behind him.

"There somewhere in these rooms... what do you mean, monsters?" He shut his eyes and swung his arms wildly in front of his face.

"No, no, never mind! I would rather that you keep the description to yourself!"

"I think we've got everything we need. When we are out of here, we should pool together all the things we've aquired".
Thomas looked in his pocket
"I found a rather interesting note, but I gave that to Ricky".
Thomas checked his pockets again.
"Ok, I've got everything. The rest of you should check before we go".

"So where do we go from here?"

Francis scoured his pockets, nothing unknown present in the depths of his trousers.

"I don't suppose either of you located another corridor based in any of these rooms?"

"Back to the lab, to make whatever we were supposed to make".
"Remember, there was apparatus In there. We needed to make an acid to melt through the red ooze that was blocking a door in the entrance hall".
Thomas looked at Francis, "We've searched everywhere".

"To the lab, then." Francis began to retrace his steps to the decided destination.

Thomas opened the door to the entrance all;
"Are we all ready?"

"Surely," replied Francis, once again making sure that he still bore possession of his lantern and such.

"Ok, let's go".
Thomas was the first to leave the wine cellar, he held the door open for the rest of the group.

Ricky followed Thomas.

"It has the same feel to it as flesh".
Thomas looked down at the everspreading ooze.
"This stuff, believe it or not, is actually beginning to annoy me".

Thomas noticed the spread of the ooze.
He ran to the laboratory door and opened it, he ushered the rest of the group through it.
"It's going surround the door, hurry up!"

Francis began to push those in front of himself forward, out of concern that they themselves should get through the door, and in fear for his own safety.

"Come on! Don't delay!" He was a bit concerned at Lucinda's lack of footwear, given the vile properties of the thick liquid.

Ricky hurried forward along with the others all to happy to be away from the substance. Arriving at the door Ricky quickly grasped the handle and ran through.

"Does the floor feel unstable to you?"
Thomas stamped on the floor, he felt it wobble under his feet.
"Maybe it was all that shaking that happened earlier, maybe it was an earthquake".

Francis threw up his arms.

"Cease your stomping, Thomas! You'll send us all through the floorboards if you continue, earthquake or not!"

Thomas laughed at Francis' remark
"You're like a mother to a child".
