"Goodness Thomas, do be careful. Still, I suggest we all hurry. I don't wish to tarry around this stuff any more than is absolutely necessary, and I'd like to be doing something that perhaps moves us forward and gets us out of this place."

"The burn's not that bad, It actually stings a bit".
Thomas kept his pace towards the wine cellar.

Treading quickly over the liquid to stop the liquid from surrounding the soles of her feet, Lucinda kept a pace with the others as best as she could, but she felt weariness approaching her.

"I must have been pretty stupid before I lost my memory," she muttered "To have not worn any shoes."

"I still maintain that we are all stupid, for wiping our memories".
"What can I say, we all make mistakes".

"I can't help but concur, especially considering we expected ourselves to embark on some kind of crazed murder mission. Hell, from the journals it almost appears we knew and got along with this Alexander, and now to ask ourselves to kill him. It's so confusing. He must have done something to us. Perhaps we'll find more journals. I must say though, wouldn't it have been nice if we'd left an actual journal instead of random scraps lying around? Honestly, what were we thinking?!"

"Perhaps, this is one giant joke we're playing on ourselves".
Thomas smirked for a moment.
"Ricky, unlock the door!"

Ricky quickly took out the key and pushed it into the door. He turned it, waiting for a click, and pushed the door to open it.

Ricky walked slowly down the stairs, nervous and cautious, looking around. At the bottom he waited for the others to arrive before moving onward.

Thomas was now at the door to the wine cellar.
"Hurry up you lot".
He looked at Ricky, "You can have the honour of opening the door".

"Oh dear, more darkness," Lucinda whispered, shaking the remnants of the red muck off her feet. "Well, I'm ready when you are."

William lit his lantern and followed the others. "Bloody castle...darkness...red fluids...Hell with this rancid structure!"

There is no light whatsoever in the wine cellar, save that from the lanterns, and a few candles inside two of the rooms with their doors open.

Exits:
-Door next to the staircase
-Door across from staircase
-Door diagonal from staircase (open door)
-Door to the left of staircase (door open)

Lighting:
-Very dark; sanity loss of 2 points per two posts with no lantern

"Christ!" William hissed in anger. "We need the lanterns! I have a bad feeling about this area."

"Christ that's dark".
Thomas struggled to light his lantern
"Come on!"
The lantern lit up with it's orange flame.
"There you go, I recommend that we look for oil now".
Thomas held his lantern high, "shall we go in the same groups?"

Ricky, lantern in hand, moved forward father into the room looking around carefully. Four doors. He wasn't sure what to do, so he chose at random and headed towards the door that lay diagonally from the stairs down.

"Thomas?" he called back as he made to open the door. "Though, there are enough doors we could conceivably split up individually, but I don't know if that's a good idea."

"I think I'll go for the door by the by the staircase. Are you coming Ricky?"
Thomas walked towards the door

"Oi!" William shouted. "We'll travel in pairs." He was frightened. "Don't open that bloody door. Barricade it!"

Thomas jumped back at the sound, he put his hands in front of his face as if he was expecting something to hit him.
As a recovered he said, "Oh dear, I don't think we will be going in there".
"I'll go to the one opposite the stairs instead".

Ricky, overcome with something very similar and yet very unlike simple curiosity, tries to open the door.

Thomas opened the door opposite the stairs, he took a few steps into the room, when he noticed Ricky trying to open the other door.
"Ricky! What the hell are you doing!?"

"This place is screwing with our mind. I gambled. Looks like maybe it paid off."

Ricky walked into the room, carefully stepping so as to avoid the mess on the floor. He picked up the bottle and note without looking at them and placed them into his pocket to look at once he was the hell out of the room. He glanced around to make sure there was nothing more to find.
