Emily only stood still for what felt like a long eternity, staring up at the statue that now occupied the field of vision that had only moments before held such a strange and wondrous show. There was still a dark smudge of soot on her cheek, and her hair now fell back into her face, as it always had and likely always would, one small reminder of strange familiarity in a place that, though she was much better acquainted to it, seemed still to be so new.

She was entirely unsure what to think. She was still overcome with emotion, if not of what had happened than because she knew her best friend was so affected. There was the part of her, stubborn and fierce, that had disliked Aaron and always would. But there was another part, a more human part, that felt a small swell of thankfulness. He had, after all, delivered on his promise. He had given them a new home and a new family and saved humanity.

Maybe. Although Emily suspected that, even though she was not any of the strange races that stood beside her, there was a shred of humanity in all of them.

The girl lowered her eyes and observed the golden sword at her feet, laying where she had dropped it in the surprise of the final battle a few moments before. She knelt down slowly and reclaimed it, catching a small glimpse of Sebastien near her.

Emily folded her hands over the hilt of her sword, observing him for a moment before looking back up at the statue. "I guess you're going to be very busy," she observed, "now that you've...got another emperor to protect."

Martin is still alive? "Martin, you need to ready plans to evacuate Morrowind. Red Mountain is going to erupt in a few years." said Roman to the emperor.

Pete
"If the emperor says you can, who am I to say no?" Anya asked. "Now kiss me like you did our first night together. We were just given a second chance at life and I'm going to take every indulgence I can!" She wrapped her arms around Pete's neck and pressed her lips to his.

Dayton thought about what Martin had said. He hadn't really thought about the fact the world keeps on going even after the story end. No ending credits or anything.

What now, he thought. Should I stay with the Blades..? Nah. Maybe I can put my florist expertize to use somewhere and get a job. Settle down, work my way upward, consume the souls of all living things.. Scratch that last thing. That's something an evil brainwashed person with a soul stealing weapon would do.

Pete was surprised, but had no hesitation in returning the kiss. Anya was right - he'd been given a second chance at life. He felt like he was back in his university years again, young and with the whole rest of his life ahead of him. And he was going to take every opportunity to make sure it would not go to waste.

He held Anya in his arms, happier in this moment than he'd been in ages.

Spoiler:
Wow, that had to be the corniest thing I've ever written.

"We'll see if we can't get you wearing one," Saren said with a laugh. "But we could use your help; there's bound to be more Daedra scattered around Cyrodlil."

Emily
Sebastien sighed and rested his hands on his knees, looking weary. "It has been a long year already," he said, "but with this threat gone there should be more than enough Blades to keep our Emperor safe." He brought himself to his full height again and grinned at the young woman. "And you? Will you be joining us as some of your friends have chosen to do?"

Roman
Moved to Cheydinhal and set up a temple to Azura in the city itself. While many locals were outraged it attached a number of Dunmer residents. Eventually things settled down. 10 years afterwards Roman packed his things and disappeared from the city. He left a note saying that Azura had given him a task. The people of Cheydinhal never saw him again and it unknown where he went or if he is even still alive.

Dayton Lane's Fantastitaculous Epilogue

The first thing Dayton did after the battle was to have Umbra returned to wherever it came from, since he suspected it was influencing his mind. Surely nothing bad would ever come from this decision. Nope. Nothing bad at all!

Dayton settled down in Imperial City and managed to get a job as gardener at the Arcane College. For a few years he studied vigorously to learn all there is to know about Tamrielic flora, and the hard worked payed off when he got promoted to Caretaker of the Alchemical Garden. The position didn't last long though, because Dayton threw a fireball into the face of a young apprentice who used Fleur as an ingredient for a stamina potion. After the incident Dayton was demoted to Caretaker's Assistant.

At the age of 30 he married a pretty Dunmer girl with whom he had two sons. He named them Bus and Traffic.

Emperor Martin Septim:

Martin lit the Dragonfires anyway. He wasn't sure whether they were still necessary, but it seemed to be tradition, and he thought it would help the people accept an illegitimate heir. He and his honoured soldiers walked out of the Temple to mass cheering from the ragged crowds. Since he was wearing the Amulet of Kings and had lit the Dragonfires, the Elder Council had no choice but to accept him as Emperor, no matter how much grumbling there was behind the scenes. It helped that he had a particular way of staring which was almost identical to that of his father's. Few people who'd known Emperor Uriel could fail to break down under the full force of his Imperial blue eyes.

Much as he had come to care for some of his Blades, the Emperor knew that he needed to marry a woman of high birth to cement his position on the throne. After much deliberation, he chose a Jarl's daughter from Skyrim who proved to be rather more open-minded than the other noblewomen he was offered. He dutifully promised that she would be the only woman for him, and simply mentioned nothing in his vows about men. If Martin's bodyguards were drawn from the pool of the more attractive male Blades – well, that was his business and no one else's.

Martin and his wife had six children, to repopulate the Septim bloodstock as much as possible. He loved his sons and daughters equally, and spent as much time as possible with them to ensure that he did not become estranged from them – as his father had, to such great cost. He encouraged them to marry widely among the peoples of Tamriel, so that everyone could feel that the royal family represented them and belonged to them. His lesbian daughter even chose an Argonian, with his full blessing.

Ten years after coming to the throne, his Blades – aided in no small part by Martin's prophetic dreams and quick reflexes – foiled an assassination attempt by the Thalmor, who had been trying to claim credit for ending the Oblivion Crisis. After being publicly embarrassed, they were too ashamed to spread much beyond the Summerset Isles for several more decades – a short time in an Altmer lifespan, but long in the way of humans. Plenty of time for the truth to disseminate. This also directly prevented the breakdown of the Mages Guild in Tamriel, since “crazy Daedra worshippers” rather than “mages” were blamed for the events.

The Emperor's hair faded from brown to silver, then white, and he died at the age of 83, physically frail but still in full possession of his faculties. His oldest son, named Aaron despite it being neither an Imperial nor a Nordic name, ascended to the throne.

Pete

True to his word, Pete remained as a member of the Blades, returning to Cloud Ruler Temple to continue his studies in magic and Tamrielic lore. For the first few years of his time there, he went on some small adventures - including a short-lived attempt to patrol the streets of Bruma as a masked vigilante known as the Fatman - but gradually settled down to a quiet and studious lifestyle at the Temple.

Around three years after their initial chance meeting, Pete and Anya got married. Yes, seriously. They had two children, a boy named Link and a girl named Chell. Pete never told the two about Earth and the life he'd lived before coming to Tamriel, but he did share it with Anya. By the time he'd reached old age, Pete had become a respected lore-master and mage with the Blades. He passed away at the ripe ol' age of 84.

Emily

Emily McDonald did remain with the Blades, and with them she learned a great deal plenty about the world in which she now called her own. She honed her swordsmanship, devoured the books in Sebastien's library and, reasonably enough, a corner of his heart. When she realized that the pen was indeed mightier than the sword, he used his influence to grant her an apprenticeship in a library nestled away in his home of High Rock, where she spent many days aiding a budding scholar research and write many books on Tamriel history. She even went on to create quite a few volumes herself.

A few years after the Crisis, once things seemed more stable, Sebastien returned from Cyrodiil and the Blade and the scholar, ever a curious combination, were married. Emily lived the rest of her years in a lovely estate not far from the sea, surrounded by books, happy children, and the sounds of the waves and the gulls in her ears. She remained close and good friends with Naomi as long as the two could manage; only with her friend did she remember the life that they both once lived, so very many, many years ago.

Naomi

Naomi pursued her dreams, as she had claimed she was intent on doing several times... She went to the offices of the Black Hourse Courier a few days after after the catastrophic events of the Oblivion Crisis had ended, bleary eyed and with a cramped hand, but also with a rather well-written and long-winded article on the real events surrounding the end of the crisis. That story was found to be running in the papers the next day, and Naomi, to her delight, was hired on by the paper's owners as an investigative reporter. She spent her youth exploring Cyrodiil, solving mysteries, reporting on skirmishes, and writing stories.

It was disconcerting for a while for a person like Naomi, who considered herself a world citizen in Canada, with a knowledge and understanding of world history and events, to be thrust into a world where she knew nothing, but within a month she was no longer Naomi Green the confused Canadian, but Naomi (no surname, apparently) the confident young Redguard journalist.

She was happy in her work, but it also grew lonely. She had a handful of boyfriends, but by the time she was thirty she had never been in a relationship for longer than a few months.

She remained as close as she could to her friend Emily and her new husband, but when she moved away from the Imperial City keeping in touch became harder. She often wondered if she would be willing to give up the challenge and adventure of her career for her friend's obviously happy life. She didn't know the answer.
