The Mr. Gutsy robot approached Lenka and scooped him up with it's three 'legs', and started to go as fast as it could away.

"You're coming with me, Khanie."

Kennaf cursed to himself next time, you won't be so lucky

"Hey guys" can I join yelled kennaf as he ran towards them, "can I join" he yelled

Yates nodded,
"Well, the ghoul who did it has turned feral, he was the president of The Republic of Luther."
Yates paused, he looked aggriavated from just thinking about it.
"I don't know why, but all of his men are still following him even though he has gone beserk,
we are here because we are trying to figure out where he went, we are going to kill him."

John pulled his assault rifle out and checked the clip. He didn't say anything, but sat down.

Micky swallowed as the rest of the family returned to the kitchen. "Umm... well... we saw them coming because I set up a telescope on our roof. Lets me see the world since I rarely go outside, y'know? My dad tried to warn the town but they thought he was being paranoid, so we hid in our basement's secret closet. But, when we came out, we just saw... Patterson, was the name of your leader, right? Patterson go into the town hall with all of his men, which was a lot. He hasn't come out since."

You could see a tiny grin on Yates' rotted face
"Yes, Patterson is his name.. Thanks for the info Micky."
He turned to look at Mars, Kelly, and John.
"You guys wanna set Patterson up for an ambush?" He asked, with excitement in his voice.

"Sure. But if we're going to, we better get going. I know i don't have a say in this, but...yeah." John stood up, and looked at the others.

"Err... wait." Micky said. "This is awkward. I realize you just got an offer. But my family needs to settle down somewhere else, probably in Muir. They can't do that with me. I built a .44 magnum myself from some broken ones, and I practice on dummies every few days. I can handle myself. Oh, yeah, what I'm asking is: can I go with you? I want an adventure, and to get some air."

Yates looked slightly surprised at Micky's offer, looking to notice his other allies all spacing out. He then looked straight into Micky's eyes.
"You know how dangerous it gets out there right? Mess up in this ambush, and you will get killed, Patterson has a lot of men..."

"You think I really care? Three years. Three years since I interacted with someone who isn't related to me. The priest spit on me when he saw me and we needed to fake my death. My teachers refused to look at me. The guards treated me like a threat. Besides, Patterson went in there at least half an hour ago. Whatever is in there must be really interesting... or maybe he can't leave. I'm curious." Micky countered.

'Alright, you can come with us. I'm fine with it at least.
You got anything good for an ambush? Mines perhaps?"

Micky gasped. "Gosh, no. Just my .44 and a switchblade. I could scout, though. I know the town well."

"Good enough." Yates muttered.
"Let's be on our way then."
He then started to head outside.

Kelly returned his sunglasses to his head in preparation to step outside; he paused, however, turning to Karl and Ellen.

"Are you sure you and your son will be safe here, alone?" Kelly had no idea what his answer would be if the family's reply was no; perhaps himself, or one of the others could remain until the town had been cleared of all hostile parties.

"We'll go to Muir." Ellen said confidently. "There's a direct route from here."

Kelly nodded. "Take this." He removed his .45 pistol from its hoster and handed it to Karl, along with two additional mags.

"We've got plenty of weapons anyway, and, we've got your son at our side."

"Thank you, and take care of him." Ellen said. "He's been planning something like this for a long time. We've been ready."

"We will." Kelly exited the house, but paused in the doorway, squinting hard. Take care of him. The words seemed to ring in his ears; Kelly felt as if a great weight had been placed on his shoulders.

"C'mon, Yates, Mars. And Mickey. Let's head out." Kelly began to move, then turned back to the others.

"Keep your weapons at the ready."

Yates began the follow the group, and pulled out his carbine, keeping his eyes peeled.

"So Kelly, I was considering the idea of us perfoming an ambush on Patterson as soon as he exits the building, sound good to you?"

"I've been waiting half an hour for that. Maybe I could go in and check it out?" Micky asked enthusiastically.

"Sounds like a good idea, here, use this."
Yates tossed Micky his only stealth boy.
"I was saving it for when I really needed it, but you really need it. And I don't want them catching you, and getting the first shot in."
He snickered.
