"Have you dealt with goblins before?" Nalfein asked the shadowmancer with a telepathic message, the experienced shadowmancer was not being searched in his mind.

Trying to touch Percival's mind was like trying to knock down a brick wall with a feather.

Nalfein called out his question aloud, loudly as to be heard over the horses.

Percival nodded. "Once or twice, quite a few years ago."

"How will you convince them to aid us?" Nalfein asked him.

"I'll think of something. They may fear me, but fear can be more useful than respect."

Nalfein nodded and began thinking about the journey ahead. What wonders await us ahead... He was worried but he was also excited to be doing something of import. Hopefully he would also gain some good stories out of it.

"Actually," Revak shouted,"fear can cause violence. Where as respect for power tends to lead to peace between two sides. "

Leniel laughed, "In my line of work, fear is always the advantage."

"You know," Revak mused,"It's a funny thing, fear I mean. Some people hate it. But, fear is like a warning system. And it probably saves us a lot. But too much fear can cause you to make a mistake. Possibly a fatal one."

Nalfein just listened to the debate, since the topic was purely opinion based there would be no winner it seemed to him.

Belli stayed silent, his wound has stopped dripping for now.

"Belli, how are you holding up?" Nalfein asked concerned about the half elf. He had been quiet this whole time and was still thinking about what he had said earlier.

Belli smiled slightly at Nalfein. "I am okay.." He murmured, if Nalfein looked closely at Belli's arm he could see some rather dried blood, but it still looked fresh.

Nalfein saw the blood, but he didnt press the issue, if the half elf wanted to talk about it all he would need to do was reach out for his mind. It is not the kind of thing Nalfein wanted to put Belli on the spot on for.

"I am glad to hear it." Nalfein looked at him with knowing eyes.

Belli could see that Nalfein had noticed.

Belli looked away from Nalfein. He looked slightly ashamed, but it was close to habit now, it was stress release, it was bliss.

Leniel rode near Belli,"I saw, you know. I'm not going to tell you what to do, I have not right. But there are better ways."

Belli looked at Leniel. "tell me of these other ways then." he said softly.

Leniel, "When I want to relieve stress, I drink. That obviously doesn't work for your..problem. But I also embraced the shadows. I grow stronger from every trial. The darker the horizon may seem, the blacker the night. You most likely expect me to say 'the brighter the dawn', but I won't. I want it to be dark, than my enemy will never see me coming. My sorrow, a friend, and my pain, a weapon. But to hurt myself with it, is not smart."

"I cannot throw myself into my practices as you can." Belli murmured. "another way?"

Leniel laughed, "What! You can't throw yourself into crushing the [&@%!] out of people? Then you need to find a new hobby."

"like what?" Belli asked angrily. "I do not wish to destroy only, the kinetic forces of my power can be used to protect as well!" his fist furthest from Leniel curled into a fist.

"Whoa!" Revak shouted as he pulled his horse closer to Belli and Leniel. "There's no need for that." He put his free hand on Belli's shoulder. "It's alright. Just calm down."
