Clara awoke to the sound of the stampede of students approaching the great hall. She sighed. Another day, another assembly. All the other girls had left without waking her. Smart choice. She whistled the Sheep Shank Kids as she got changed, unaware of the nearby Raletus. Before leaving to join her fellow students, she quickly helped herself to a sip of her Whiskey supply and put on her Ring of Endurance; both were necessary to make it through the morning.

Physical Appearance: Soft features, as do most Bretons. Soft chin, rounded ears, prominent cheeks, a nose neither pointed nor bulbous.
Hair style: Reaches down to the nape of his neck. For occasions casual, it is typically loose, and neatly combed and parted. When participating in both physical activities and formal congregations, he prefers to pull it back in a short ponytail.

Clothing: Wears clothes typical to the Imperial Middle-Upper class; fine wools but rarely silks, neat moccasins, and the such. When out riding or hunting, he will wear his family's stamped leathers. When studying and practicing magic, he has been known to don the traditional mages' robes, his red due to having not yet be admitted into the Arcane University as a true mage (nor is it likely he ever will).

Personality: Very rather outwardly temperate. Due to his general social standing, he still is faintly arrogant, however it is truly unnoticeable to those that don't play close attention. He greatly respects elves (save the Orcs), however he carries his father's healthy distrust of the Beastly races.

Bio: He was born to Diodore D'argent, a semi-wealthy and locally popular lordling residing in a series of hamlets south of Tehanna. He was given basic lessons by local philosophers and artisans, and was to attend a formal academy in Daggerfall, however his father fell out of the graces of the Breton Elite due to his adamant refusal to 'donate' his people's land for garrisons to be built within a fair distance from the High Rock-Skyrim border, and he was ultimately denied admission. Instead, he was sent to the Imperial City to live with his father's good friend and diplomat Marion Lazelle. Lazelle had ties with a number of instructors, and, thanks to good-natured requests, sent Malan to the College.

School Year: Damned if I should know how the formal educational system works in Tamriel. Just toss me with the rest of my age-group.

"Well, if it isn't Clara Vakerian?" Raletus said with a grin, leaning up against the doorway to the girls' dormitory. "Looking finer than last year, I must say."

Personality: Very fun loving and kind, but can be serious when need be.
Bio:Not much is known of his background cause he can't make on up...doesn't know it. He has a strong love for magic, and can cast some strong spells, however due to being born under the Atronach birthsign, he must be carefull and rely and weaker spells and enchantments.
School Year:Umm...? Whichever the others are in I guess.

Clara, shocked, jumped back at Valetus's greeting and nearly tossed a fireball at him until she realised he wasn't one of her father's goons. Valetus was obviously trying to flirt, but flirting was not something she liked. But she needed him away from the dormitory where he could snoop around.
"Well well," she grinned, "You look nicer too." She slapped him in the face. "But you're gonna look a lot worse if you try anything on me again," she called as she skipped off to the hall.

Raletus was taken back. Who knew she could pack such a punch...or slap in this case. He put his hand over his face, which bore a red handprint. "Well, I tried last year. I'll have to keep tryin' this year too." He smiled as we watched Clara walk down the hall. He then turned around to his sack of books. This was a big decision he had to make at the beginning of every school year. Play a prank on one of the professors, or start a food-fight. He figured that he would just go with the flow this year. He picked up his sack of supplies and slung it over his shoulder. He quickly peaked into the girls' dormitory. "Damnit! They all left! Morning people..."

He passed Clara with another grin. "I'll talk to you later." He then picked up his pace and ran down the stairs, hoping to catch up with Dro-virr and ask him if he'd like to aid him with either a prank or a food-fight.

Samuel quickly ran up to Raletus grinning. "Good try, good try. Too bad it never works, eh?" Samuel asked, giving Raletus a playful punch

"What!? Scoring points with Clara Vakerian isn't as easy as it looks. At least I've got the guts to give it a try." He laughed. "Hey, hey! I was gonna ask Dro-virr to do this, but you look like you'll do just fine." He pulled out a large chunk of ham out of his sack. It was wrapped in paper. "I think I'll start a food-fight this year. Wanna join me?"

Samuel let how a small laugh. "Well, you do have the guts, I'll give you that," Samuel then grabbed the ham and said, "Why not, I have nothing better to do, like, I don't know. Practice, study, or do something that won't get me in trouble if I get caught and possibly expelled!" he then added, "Seriously, I don't. C'mon, let's go," smiling.

"Alright. Wait for my signal in the Great Hall. I'll chuck an egg at one of the professors." He snickered and ran down the stairs in front of Samuel, laughing almost the entire way.

Samuel walked into the Great Hall, it looked taller than usual, and longer too. He shrugged it off and sat down at one of the benches, smiling at whoever happened to be sitting next to him at the time. The tables were packed with food, and many students were eating. But Samuel chose not to, as he really wasn't very hungry. He drank a glass of water and looked around, there were a few people he recognized from the year previous, and many new arrivals dotted about the hall.

"Okay-well, wait! Who do I throw it at?" Samuel tried yelling, but Raletus was already too far up ahead. "Well, he didn't tell me I couldn't throw it at him..." Samuel thought, walking down the stairs towards the Great Hall, grinning.

When Samuel entered the hall, he hid the ham in his sack, and saw his favorite person to annoy, Samuel.
"Hello me? Or am I me, and you're you? Am I you?" he asked Samuel Ashcroft. "If only we had the same last name somehow. That'd be even funner!" Though Samuel.

Raletus sat down at the right side of the Great Hall next to a pretty Bosmer girl, who looked to be only about a month or two younger than him. "Hey, I'm Raletus." he said with a charming grin. "Just a heads up - When I say 'food-fight', duck! I don't want anyone to hit a pretty face like yours with a bunch of nasty foods." He looked at his plate, and what was on it - two loaves of bread, a small cup of berries, and a pile of meat. A smile appeared across his face. This was gonna be sweet!

Kylar had been up and dressed for hours, merely contenmplating the day ahead of him. The sights, the smells, the other students at the college... and it saddened him. He hadn't wished to leave High Rock, but was here, and there was no longer time to go back. He had taken the time to explore the "Great" hall, and had decided to remain there until the others arrived. It amused him to see how annonymous he could remain, merely a passer-by and easily forgotten, despite the fact that he was the only person in the hall to start with. He decided to unveil himself, although made no conscious effort to engage in conversation.

Clara looked around the hall and sighed as she sat down. Her only real friend, Vick Atimest (see what I did there?) had left the school before the new year, and now she was stuck with the bickering girls and hopeless boys. With the odd goings on, it looked to be a bad year.
She looked up to the podium. With the absence of Remus, Chaplain Hallix was preparing to read the hour long Nine-fearing speech to the new students. She had a Septim Pistols singing stone in her pocket, but wouldn't dare activate it. After the incident with the Xivilai last year, Illusion professor Nastaren watched her like a hawk every assembly. It looked like she would have to go through the year with a magic ban, and alone. That is unless she stopped rejecting Raletus... She looked over to him chatting up a Bosmer as he got ready to start one of his amateur pranks.

No, that wasn't going to happen.

Samuel noted how Samuel hadn't answered him. Maybe he didn't hear, or wasn't there. Whatever the matter, he decided to leave him, and sit by Clara. He silently sneaked up by her and whispered, "Why are we looking at Raletus? Just wondering," Hoping to startle her.

Samuel ignored the other Samuel's attempts at trying to be funny and sat, staring out the window. He noticed that Samuel had left and turned around to see where he was going. He saw him sitting beside a Bosmer girl with Ralmetus, Ralmetus was most likely harassing her, which was typical. But Samuel (the one with Ralmetus, lol, confusion) he couldn't be too sure about. Nevertheless he shrugged it off, as he does most things. And decided to eat something. Samuel picked up a piece of toast and bit into it, it was burnt, the cooks here had never been too good at...anything really.

Kylar had managed to find a seat that overlooked Ralmetus and the Samuels, musing at the deteriorating quality of the toast, he put down his plate and once again took in his surroundings. The stench of burning bread, sweat and cheap bewitching potions filled the air. One of which seemed to have an alarming affect on Ralmetus. He glanced over to the females that flanked him, and wasn't impressed. In fact, by the way they were eating, slightly repulsed.

"Oh, I wasn't" exclaimed Clara, startled by Samuel. "I was just... I was watching him fail at his cheap knock-off pranks, yeah. Why are you talking to me anyway?"

Samuel let out a small chuckle. "Such a terrible liar, but don't worry, I won't tell Raletus. Maybe. Any ways, I was just going to tell you to duck. But since you clearly don't want me talking to you, just pretend I said nothing.

Samuel finished the toast, and looked towards the front of the Hall, where the headmaster was walking through the doors. His eyes were red from tiredness, and everyone went silent as he walked in. He hadn't been seen for months, keeping himself locked away in his tower office. Now he looked worse than ever, his usually bald head was covered in thick, greasy white hair. And his eyes had enormous bags underneath them. He slowly trudged up to the teachers bench near the end of the hall, and sat in the middle of it. Almost panting.
"W-Welcome to another year at the...College of The Nine...Divines, children," His voice was wheezy and he barely managed to get a sentence out.
"I-I will let your year advisors bother you about what is required of you this year, but, we...we will now repeat the school's morals..."
Each student and teacher stood up, and in unison chanted:

"You may go now...Enjoy your time," The Headmaster managed a small wave and the students departed the hall to make there way to class.

Kylar weaved in and out of the massing students, keeping his head low from the curious eyes of his peers, until he walked side by side with Samuel (Vum). "Has he always been like that? The last time I saw something that gaunt it had been dead once."

Samuel noticed Kylar walking next to him, he looked at him as he spoke.

"Ever since last year he has as far as I know,"
Samuel continued walking to his next class, which was History. Boring, he thought as he made an "accidental wrong turn" and headed outside. He continued to walk until he reached a large pine tree, he sat on a bench beneath it.

Kylar stopped to analyse the statement. "since last year.... something to note I s'pose." He headed for his art class, maybe he'd be able to perfect the tattoo he'd been working on since the start of school. With a slight hint of optimism, Kylar made a mental map of the school, chose the quickest route, and set off with a spring in his step. His peers looked on at him with curiousity and confusion..... why had he been standing still with his eyes closed for 5 minutes?!

Samuel quickly headed to his Alchemy class. He always liked how it was his first class because he was able to make more than enough potions to restore his magicka for the day. "Hmm. I wonder what effects ham has..." Samuel wondered while walking.
