Intense...

I'm going to wait for Vivec's Tears to post a character. After that, I'd like you all to post an intro. Why the character is their, where they are on Monolith, and what they're doing. Once that's done, I'll be ready to proceed, and every character will have something in the plot.

Character Sheet -

Name: Linu L'inearal
Description: Tall - 5'9. Long runner's legs. Piercing grey eyes. Wears a long sleeved, clean white shirt and jeans. Looks about 20-25 years old. Kind features that only occasionally turn angry.

Not much about Linu's history is known, besides the fact that she's perpetually an optimist and hopes for the reconstruction of the world. She dislikes fighting but realises she has to defend herself.

Specialization: Melee weapons

((Okay...Here's my opening post! Teddy Phalin will be a new resident of Monolith ))

Theordore Phalin, a highly skilled doctor, and would-be successful writer, slowly dragged his feet through the dust. The sun baked his shoulder and face. He was extremely tired, but happy at the same time. For he had come upon an outstanding find - a dull razor and a small bottle of shaving cream. For the first time in years, his face was clear of unkept facial hair. However, the was burning his skin to a crisp as a result.

With his hiking stick, he made a few more steps and finally sat in the sand to rest. He looked around him...nothing but a small, rotten tree. But one thing did just so happen to catch his eye. It was a train, not too far away from him in fact. He quickly stood to his feet, picking the hiking stick up as well.

"Hello!?" he shouted as loud as he could, facing the train. "Is anyone there!?"

In the horrid sun of the burning country of India, a large, black motorcyle plowed through the dusts in rage. Upon this vehicle was Sal Romadano - the most widely feared bandit in Waste history. He was massive, feared nothing, and possessed no emotions. At his right, hanging from the front of the seat was a small container containing every man's favorite recources (recources that nearly no man possessed) - a tooth-brush and tooth-paste, a shining comb, a bottle of men's gel, a sharp razor and a large bottle of shaving cream, a bottle of deodorant, and a slightly dirty bottle of water. Hanging from the left side was three containers completely filled with gasoline.

And, of course, behind the seat was a bag completely filled with clean, shining firearms, with nearly endless amounts of ammo for each at hand.

He was one of the most deadly men in the world.

Suddenly, something caught his eye. He came to a sudden stop, looking at the ground below him. They were train tracks...a rare sight. He got off of the motorcycle and bent down to the tracks themselves. He touched them with his finger.

Fresh..., he thought. People...

He smelled the air around him. He then knew which way to go. He hopped back onto his motorcycle and made a sharp turn to the left, spraying dust in all directions. He was headed for Monolith...

(Sorry for taking so long, been rather busy today)

Leilah woke up on a floor she didn't recognise. Her head hurt like hell and her mouth tasted like a small rodent had crawled into it, died, and decomposed a bit. She'd apparently decided to use a large frying pan as a pilow. For a moment, she wondered where she was, unable to remember the previous day. When she finally managed to drag herself off the floor, she finally recognised her surroundings as somebody else's house somewhere in Monolith, but with no idea of whose it was or why she was there. She looked around for a drink, but could only see empty bottles around her.

Linu swallowed a lump in her throat and tried to smile as she prepared to step off The Monolith, feeling grimy. After another difficult day scrapping together a living in The Works, she didn't feel much like smiling. Might as well go to the bar, I guess. She let a sigh slip lose. She noticed a sunburned young man standing rather out of place in the sand. Cupping her hands to her face, she shouted "New here?"

Monolith sped over cracked earth under the glaring South Asian sun. Mountains rose up in the distance, topped by white cones. Aiden finished the last sip of his alcohol and sat the glass down. The air shattered with the sound of Monolith's wheels grinding against the rails. The masses began to climb on top of shops and run to the edges of the train to see what was happening. This wasn't a planned stop.

Aiden began walking to the front of Monolith and climbed on top of the worker's cars. From here, he could see between columns of smoke a barricade stretching the width of the tracks. It was covered in sharp metal spikes and set on fire. It wouldn't stop the train, but it would do a good job of slowing it down. Next to the wall, figures jumped around, and one or two shot rifles into the air. Aiden climbed down from the car and braced himself against the train. The sound of metal scraping and splintering wood overshadowed the harsh squeal of the brakes. Burning wooden boards flipped over head, crashing into stalls and people alike. Oil dripped of of the planks, setting the carts that didn't have the privilege of metal construction alight. Aiden climbed back onto the cart and glanced backwards.

The raiders at the barricade had latched onto the train. Some had been dragged to death, but many were lucky and climbed to the carts before being brought to that fate. They jumped down and began hacking and smashing things, yelling to each other amidst wild hollering. Aiden readied his rifle against his shoulder and loaded a magazine. He brought back the bolt, and let it slide forward, before shooting into the din. Monolith finally slowed to a halt, and many of the citizens that could jumped from the train and ran in every direction to get away from the bloodshed.

Theodore, who had boarded the train before it began moving, hopped off of one of the cars with his hiking stick. "Holy hell!" he shouted. "Holy hell! Holy hell! Holy hell!!!" He began running without looking back. Damn...he wasn't born for this...

He ran through the dusts, the sun burning his skin once more. He could hear the screaming of others, and see the ones ahead of him. "Oh, Jesus, don't let me die now!" he said.

Sal rushed through the hot, dry dessert of which used to be India. He came to the sight of the carnage at Monolith. He came to a complete stop, the dust exploding around him in a massive cloud. He watched as the raiders leaped upon the cars, and the citizens sprinting away from them. He suddenly began laughing so hard that he nearly fell off of his motorcycle.

Still laughing, he turned around and opened his sack of firearms. He slowly pulled out one of his TEC-9 machine pistols, as well as two grenades. Loading his pistol, he headed full-speed to Monolith.

As the train lurched over the barricade, so did the insides of Leilah's stomach. "Oh hell not at this time of day already," she thought, despite having no idea what time it was. She scanned her surroundings for a weapon, but couldn't find one, so she settled for a broken bottle lying around before stepping out to take a look at the carnage.

Aiden scanned the survivors, most of which were old men, women, or children. He finally spotted a capable hand running with a hiking stick in hand.

"Hey!" He screamed, turning back to the carnage. "Deserter! Fight for Monolith!" Aiden slowly backed to the end of the first cart and jumped to the second, then to the actual train engines. He ducked into the cabin and grabbed a shotgun he knew was stashed in case of such emergencies, but was left by the people running. He slung it around his shoulder and jumped back on top of the train.

Theodore stopped at the hearing of Aiden's words. He turned around. "Damnit!" he said to himself. "But I don't have any weapons...I'll try!" He bolted back into the direction of Monolith. "I'm coming!" he shouted.

Sal Romadano roared into the scene. He crushed about three children that were running in a group with his motorcycle. He then plowed through an old man in his trail, simultaneously killing about four old men and women with his TEC-9. He grinned behind his bandana. Reloading his gun, he fired at another group consisting of a mother and her two young daughters. He then tossed a granade at an old man and his wife. They were each blown to bits. Finally, he neared the train, peppering two raiders that dared to stand in his way. He rode by the train, firing at the cars' walls and openings, hitting citizens and raiders alike.

The "King of Bandits" had arrived.

"Catch," Aiden yelled, sliding the shotgun from his shoulder and chucking it end over end to the doctor. "Aim and shoot. AIM AND SHOOT!" He screamed, turning back to the raiders. One slashed at a child, embedding a makeshift axe into the child's shoulder. Aiden took him down with a quick burst. A bullet glanced off metal to his left and Aiden took out the shooter. In the background, there was more screaming and gunfire, and the occasional explosion, but Aiden was too preoccupied to give it much notice.

Teddy looked around at the deaths surrounding him. It's okay, he thought to himself, Just pull the trigger, right? And it shoots! Okay...okay...I can do this!

Suddenly, a raider jumped upon the engine to his right and began swinging a knife at the Doctor. "Holy [&@%!]!" Teddy shouted. He quickly raised the gun and fired. The raider was forced back a few feet with a giant hole in his stomach. Okay... he thought to himself, cocking the gun, I can do this! I just did it! Oh God, let me live!

He then heard something. It was loud. It sounded like...a motorcycle? Suddenly, a large man on an equally large motorcycle flung past the engine. Three bullets screamed into the car. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?!?!?" Teddy shouted to Aidon, dropping the gun and laying on the hot metal floor in fear.

Sal had raced past the engine, firing the TEC-9. But he noticed something strange inside that engine. Two men...armed men...Civilians! He turned his motorcycle around with a loud scream following, crushing nearly nine citizens and a few raiders...headed for the engine.
