Robin stopped and watched the stage.

Shéq stopped and looked at the stage in a very curious manner.

Nuriaya started the beat with the harp to allow Calliope to sing. While Nuriaya played and Calliope sang, Nuriaya had silently changed the area for the two women, to make them appear to be flying in a sky of a mixture of dark and light. Nuriaya silently resembled the angel here playing on her harp.

The Stage

Calliope stood, so beautiful next to the equally gorgeous Nuriaya. She nodded to Erik and then slowly began to sing. The sound filled the ears of all witnessing it, they felt supreme sadness and crushing loss, for this was the power of the siren. Calliope closed her eyes as she sang, perhaps using the pain from so long ago as her inspiration.

Robin was utterly enthralled by the song.
"Oh I've found my next conquest..." He muttered.

"Beautiful." Shéq said as tears threatened to form in her eyes.

Nuriaya silently made the room a bit darker to go with the song, with the illusion of light only on Nuriaya and Calliope. As the song neared its climax, so did her illusion and it silently dissapeared slowly, then completly once the song would finish.

"Wow, she's hot." Alex said to Robin, chuckling, talking of the succubus.
Serpe looked towards the stage. "Where did you find these players?" He asked Erik softly.

The Succubus finished her song and opened her eyes, spreading her temporarily feathered wings in a bow as the audience roared in clapping and cheers.


Erik

"Found the harpist the other day and the Succubus is an old friend." Erik said to Serpe after clapping and cheering himself.

Shéq clapped and had enjoyed the song.

Nuriaya herself gave a silent bow with her white silver feathers, made to look larger than they were. Calliope deserved the applause for the singing, something which Nuriaya herself once was capable of doing. Nuriaya silently stayed behind scanning the audience with her eyes before looking at Calliope.

Robin clapped with the audience.

The Masquerade
For a second the world twisted, colours inverted, the ballroom caved in on itself, Xivilen shouted out, as did Jak, Serpe clinged to Erik, fearful. Then the smell of roses reached them, if they looked outside windows they would only see a mixture of desert, jungle, city and other places one may lose themselves. "Greetings.. Mortals." A voice said, manifesting in front upon the stage, a man slim, and small, almost too hard to see. Xivilen stepped back. "I am Naed." He said simply, those few who knew his name started to clamour. "And you are in my realm."

Shéq cowered as the room caved in but was surprised by the sight that greeted her afterwards. She was very curious about the voice that had spoken to everyone and was relieved it was not the same one from earlier.

Erik

Erik's eyes were wide with fear, he held on to Serpe just as Serpe held on to him. "What... What are we doing here?" He hesitantly asked.

Calliope

The succubus simply stood there emotionless, holding Nuriaya.



Ill

Halfway home Ill sighed in relief, the presence was gone. He decided to head home immediately to explain to his mother what he saw.

"Calliope, who is he?" Nuriaya asked, not knowing much about the world of Riftlings, however she was concerned to say the least. She was silently holding Calliope back, not as a lover would but as a frightened friend.

Nuriaya
"A god.." Calliope hissed softly. "A god who is of roses and assassins."

Erik
"I don't know." Serpe replied quietly, in his fear Erik could feel a coolness and smoothness where skin would touch skin.

"A god..." Nuriaya spoke and looked up at him, intimidated. "He is...worse than Xivellian?" She asked quietly, wanting to leave then and flee, get away.

Erik let go of Serpe and used his Axceel to move to the back of the chamber, looking for Jak.

Ill
Mother was cooking, standing over the stove, her hand on a spoon in the pan, smells drifted into Ill's nose.

Erik
Serpe looked at the back of Erik. Jak was sitting down, he seemed to be looking at his feet, eyes wide with shock.

Nuri
"So much worse.. Even in his area.. Xivilen could not gain the power a god has even in the mortal realm."

Erik
Erik sat next to Jak and embraced him, because if they were going to die from this god he wanted to be together with Jak.

Ill

"Mmmmm... That smells wonderful mother, you would not believe what happened tonight!" Ill said happily as he scampered over to the table they ate together at.

Nuriaya decided to be brave and let go of Calliope for a moment. "Pardon my question...Sir...or M'Lord...have...have you come to kill us?" Nuriaya asked the God of Roses bravely.

Erik
Jak didn't react.

Ill
"What happened dear?" Mother asked.

Nuriaya
"Yes.. but not by my hand, for you are all dead already, you simply do not know it."

Erik

Erik wanted to scream, fight or run, anything to get away from this place. He attempted to pull Jak and himself into his magical storage.

Ill

"There was a lady and a pointy hat and she said I could play with some other children, and then there was a presence that was so loud... but its gone now." Ill said happily scribbling on some paper.
