"Excellent, it is my very favorite." Calliope said to Nuriaya caressing her face. "If we had met a long time ago, we could have been lovers." She said without emotion.

"I am but a Virgin, my Maidenhood being saved for marriage. I have a stalker as well." Nuriaya spoke and stopped playing for a moment.

"My kind does not have the luxury of such things." Calliope said sitting down, emotionless as always.

"Yes, you need sex to survive." Nuriaya spoke. "I have no idea what kind of creature I am. I know my father could fly without shifting, and he glew. His wings and hair glowed so brightly. However, if it makes you feel any better I think you're wonderful."

"I will keep an eye out for him, but the rift is vast. Even in though I have eternity I will likely never find a trace of him." Calliope said to Nuriaya.

"I May not live as long as you do, but in case I don't and you do find him, will you sing him a song for me? One that we wrote together, when I was younger?" Nuriaya asked and stood up, her hand to her breasts. "If I may...I will sing it, but I'm not good, not like I once was..." She spoke.

Calliope shook her head. "That is something you must do for yourself, he does not have the same lifespan as I nor does any other riftling I know save Xivilen and... The black one." Calliope said to Minerva.

"Oh..." She didn't know who the Black one was but the thought of aging scared Nuriaya. Well at the very least she met a kinder Riftling.

Calliope could see the longing and perhaps fear in Nuriaya's eyes. "It is not what it is cracked up to be, immortality. The price one has to pay... is fair but living with yourself is the hard part." She said.

"You have to kill many human and riftling a like I take it?" Nuriaya asked.

"No, that is the path the Black One took, I only had to pay a single life but I was young and foolish. For my vanity I asked Xivilen for immortality so that I might stay young and beautiful forever. He took only one life, but.." Calliope stopped for a moment to take a breath. "For my immortality I gave up my unborn daughter and the ability to ever have children again. I fell into a depression that only Erik was able to save me from, for this I owe him my life." She said to Nuriaya.

Nuriaya was saddened by that. She got up and wrapped her arms around Calliope. "I'm sorry, for that is a terrible price." Nuriaya spoke. "I owe Eric too, for if not for him I wouldn't have the courage to stand up for myself and speak to strangers. He said he wanted me to be his light...but I worry for him."

Calliope bristled, with excitement not anger. "Did he say that?! Really?" Calliope asked Nuriaya looking at her directly in the eyes.

"Yes." Nuriaya spoke up to her and looked up into Calliope's eyes with truth. "Only...I have fallen for him and I am not a man for him to return my affections. Swono is kind but...Erik has been kinder and gentler. I wish to be that light for him...and I also wish for someone to love and returning of my affections. And I wish to be that light for Erik, he's truly a wonderful friend."

"Erik is mad, Nuiraya. It is a fate that many young Incubi and Succubi fall into. For him to want you to be his light, he may or rather the old Erik, may want to make himself sane again." Calliope said to Nuriaya.

"I wish for him to be sane then." Nuriaya spoke worried for him. "Even if he'll never return my affections. If I never see you again then I won't be able to let you know."

"I will always watch over Erik, if you stay in his life, we shall meet again." Calliope said like this was fact. "Would you hold my hand? I wish to sit here and silence but only if you will hold my hand." She said holding her hand out.

"Very well." Nuriaya spoke and then held Calliope's hand.

"I'm sorry did you say touch?" Alex grinned, walking with Robin. "So how did you get to join this ball?" She asked, curious, she was his plus one.

Erik
He did, he smelt like dry grass, a number of smells the brought to mind a cool area. "Why thank you." Serpe said softly. "You do too."

Shéq went to get some food and a drink. She looked for the food and drink before walking over to it.

"Oh how sweet of you to say so. Your costume is quite fetching, wherever did you get it?" Erik asked while dancing.

"From my home." Serpe said softly. "I made it."

"Handsome and talented? I bet you are good with your hands." Erik said seductively, he reached for Serpe's desire with his natural gifts and pulled.

Serpe nodded, Erik could feel something prod. "I've been told that yes." He said, happy that his face was covered.
