With an extremely swift movement, Malatar sent a poisoned arrow singing towards the Thalmor agents' direction. He pushed Selara against the tree trunk to give her cover. In an instant, the Ayleid shot another arrow towards a second agent.

"But what they make of it...Skooma," the Khajiit's expression darkened. "It is dangerous, even for Khajiiti. They shiver and beg and this makes Kah'jihreed more angry than sad,"

"Skooma." Irri repeated. "Terrible thing. One thing to lose life, worse tomlose body, but to lose your mind..."

"Let us speak of something more pleasant," Kah'jihreed prosposed. "What parts of the world has Irriwen seen?"

Irri shrugged. "Valenwood. Elsweyr. Colovia." She said simply.

"Irriwen has seen Kah'jihreed's homeland, and Kah'jihreed has not..." the Khajiit said with a melancholic sigh.

'Gods above, will this man never stop pushing me around?' Selara thought as Malatar crushed her against the tree trunk. Well, perhaps crushed wasn't quite the right word, and she'd never been one to forgo proper protection, but still. As was true of so many things lately, however, this wasn't the time for such concerns. She wasn't entirely convinced it was the best time for full-on violence either though. Thinking quickly, she wove a potent spell of charm and cast it towards the Thalmor guards.

Siaenach was sitting along the wall of the inn, legs on the table, staring at everyone with a kind of creepy smile on her face.

Irriwen nodded. "It was warm." She said, as if that summed up the entire journey.

Tireace notices the sounds of arrows and the thumps of bodies. "huh what..!" Tireace says and she dashes along to the place she heard them from.

The Thalmor threw up protective wards that blocked the arrows and spells. Malatar and Selara were hit with strong paralyze spells. They couldn't help being picked up by their attackers as the Thalmor cast slowfall and jumped off the tree. The duo were taken by carriage several miles north into the Thalmor Base of Operations in the area. They were placed in an empty room and their weapons taken from them. Shackles were placed on their hands that prevented the use of magic.

Malatar and Selara finally could move once they had been alone in the room for around twenty minutes. Once the paralyze spell wore off, Commander Aradusk strode into the room.

"I have some questions to ask you." He said hostilely. "And don't try to resist or I'll fry you from the inside out and officially make the Ayleids extinct." Aradusk warned. "Now. I'll only ask you this once. Did you set fire to Tarnabye?"

Tireace notices a girl sitting on her own drinking. She goes up to her and says with a false voice of shy ness"wh-where you there at the ruin exploding? Whas your name?"

"Why would we?" Malatar hissed, his jaws locked together with a deathly frown.

"That isn't an answer." Aradusk seethed.

"You are correct. It is a question." Malatar formed two firm fists.

Siaenach, in the meantime, was staring suspicously at every single elf in the building, as if asserting some sort of threat.

"Set fire to Tarnabye?" Selara seethed. "You think that was us? No. A thousand times, no." Her grey-violet eyes sparked with fury at the insult. "I, also, must query. Why would we set fire to our own home? Our own people?"

"I wouldn't know, that's why I'm asking you." Aradusk said.

"So tell me. If you didn't set the fire, and it didn't kill you, how are you here?" Asked Aradusk.

Beorn walked into the bar and sat down. He was distrustful of elves at the best of times, his father had been killed and tortured by the Thalmor for worshipping Talos. But the Alyeids, they were supposed to be worse, if that was possible.

"Not really," said Elyntine, "but thank you." She took out her lyre, rested it on her lap, and began to strum, wandering about the fretboard aimlessly. "If you don't mind my asking...what brought you two to Tarnabye?" she asked. "What is it mere curiosity, or..."
