Jussayin', I wasn't being serious. Didn't mean to cause offense or anything.

"This is good." Ra'zhar confirmed. A group of adventurers gathered around a stoned orc? It wasn't a normal day by any standards.

Dal sat down on the edge of the fountain to let the effects wear off.

"So what are we waiting for? we all seem to be waiting around doing nothing" J'Kavar asked the others.

No biggie.

"Ra'zhar was assuming that with a few mercenaries standing around the fountain, one would maybe approach us and offer us a contract or a job. But perhaps it would be best to ask the innkeeper in town of any happenings and opportunities for adventure; over a drink, of course." Ra'zhar said, patting Dal's back.

Can I have a short summery? I busy with other things and don't have time to read back.

Anaril was oblivious to the conversations that were going on around the fountain. He did not enjoy taking contracts, but his recent money troubles caused him to take a path he despised. Instead, he looked around for people that looked promising, people that had a lot of money on their hands.

Gideon Dragontongue wrote:

25 Last Seed, 4E 202

The town of Blacklight was a busy place. Though much of its population was Dunmeri, other folk from all corners of Tamriel flocked there to hawk their wares in its bustling markets. By midafternoon, the trade had barely hit full swing, dozens of coins exchanging hands every moment.

In the center of the town, surrounded by stalls and shops, was a breathtaking fountain, crafted from fine marble. At its pinnacle was a statue of Saint Jiub, spear raised in salute. Around this, mercenaries and adventurers often gathered, for there was no better place to find work of the sort that suited them.

On this particular day, a motley crowd had assembled round the fountain. Some were shoppers, resting a few moments near the fountain's cooling waters; others were looking for contracts, jobs of the sort requiring a little muscle, or, in some cases, a little magic.

And lots of talking between characters no plot movement.

Gideon will move it along eventually, I'm sure.

We're now all in the local tavern.

"Right then." Ra'zhar said, striding to the tavern with the newly formed group trailing behind him.
They got a few looks from the patrons, but otherwise entered without incident. Sitting at the bar, Ra'zhar signaled for ale.

Would they have rum do you think?

J'Kavar sat at the bar and got a bottle of rum. He drank while looking around the room for those in need of help.

After a long time of waiting, Anaril decided to have a drink at the loacl tavern. He entered, and saw the mysterious trio of Orc, Khajiit and Argonian so he walked over to them and asked; "You're looking for contracts too?"

Dal had a water, trying to clear his head of the moon sugar. "Contracts or not, whatever job is noble and has some coin in it I'm ready for," the Orc said. "Also, you should watch your language."

"A noble orc." Anaril said, surprise in his tone; "Never thought I would see the day."

"It is a day Ra'zhar is glad to see." Ra'zhar said. "Though the orcs of the strongholds are not short on nobility. They are an honorable people indeed. Just true to their own ways, as it may be."

Dal gave a toothy grin at Ra'zhar's words and sat up a little straighter.

J'Kavar laughed at Dal's facial expression as he did this and said. "Well there is a sight to see a happy Orc!"

Gives-Out-Shadow looked at the orc and Anaril. "We are becoming a group of mercanaries.." He hissed to Ra'Zhar. "We will be less likely to get good coin."

Anaril heard Gives-Out-Shadow and butted in; "Just because we are a group of fellow adventurers sitting together at a table drinking mead, doesn't mean we are a group or mercanaries."

"Argonian, you seem to be tense is there something this one can do for you? And besides I am not a mercenary or adventurer, I am simply a servant of the people." J'Kavar said to gives-out-shadow.

Gives-Out-Shadow laughed, bitter, soft. "A servant." He laughed. "A servant is right. Beast king were servants.. slaves." He hissed.
