Yalun held out his hand. He willed telekinesis to stop the bullets, making a telekinetic shield, but for good measure he started to turn his body as hard as stone.

The bullet hit the soldier in the head, knocking it completely off. It stumbled around for a bit, before collapsing in a heap on the floor. But within seconds, it's place had been taken by another mechanical warrior.

The telekinetic shield was immediately shattered during a volley from one of the approaching platoons of mechnical soldiers, fortunately enough for Yalun, the bullets merely bounced off of his rock hard skin.

Ben stopped to catch his breath in an empty alleyway, he could still here shouting and more worryingly shooting coming from the marketplace but he didn't care he was safe and that was all that mattered.

"MURDEROUS SONS OF B*TCHES! TRY SHOOTING SOMEONE WHO'LL FIGHT BACK!" Cornelius charged towards the nearest soldiers and swung his greatsword at them wildly, bent on slaying as many as he could.

Jason reloaded swiftly and using his amazing veteran accuracy, fired another shot at the mechanical [&@%!] that replaced the other; aiming for the ehad again. He quickly gazed at the ship, seeing for any weak points that can cause an explosion.

Unfortunately Jason's shot missed.

Before Cornelius could charge into combat he heard a thunderous voice being called from above, everyone could, "Idiots! They'll slaughter you!".

A clipper airship was hovering above them all, flying about the general market area. A rope was flung down, "Any survivors and idiots, climb on board!".

With a growl, Cornelius clomped over to the rope, and waited for others to climb up before him. "OVER HERE! I'LL COVER YOU!" He fired his musket at the nearest mechanical soldier as he waited for people to climb up ahead of him.

Jason slung back his rifle and pulled out his pistol. He fired two wild shots at the robots and sprinted to the ladder, using all of hsi agillity to dodge the incoming bullets.

Yalun tapped his cane against the ground. "encase." he chanted, willing the ground to rise up and close around the robots. He looked to the rope and smiled slightly. He pointed at the robots and shook his head. He stepped backwards intent on covering the others.

Walls of earth launched up from the ground below and around the robots that were pursuing, it would not completely stop them though as they quickly punched and shot through the elements which troubled them.

The man who was standing on the ship above them started screaming, "Get up yourself! I'll cover you all!", with that he began winding up one of the side mounted gatling guns on the clipper and started unloading it into the nearly invincible horde of mechs.

When Ben heard the voice in the sky he knew something was wrong and when he looked up to investigate the voice and saw people climbing a rope he knew something was definitely wrong. I can always just stay here Ben thought to himself but on further thinking realised they wouldn't be saving anyone unless something was seriously wrong. Ben took the musket out between the sheaths in his cloak and began to run to the market place.

Upon entering the market place Ben could see what was wrong, brass constructs were killing everything in sight, there was resistance in the form of some foolish old man with a death wish and a younger man with a fair degree of magical knowledge but Ben didn't want to get involved. Sprinting for the rope Ben grabbed it and began to climb

Yalun picked up a few stones. "rock bullet." he said simply, aiming for the heads, using telekinesis to shoot the stones at them.

Cogburn fired at another soldier, looked around, and saw Yalun still lingering. "Get your ass up there, ya' magical idgit! I'm slow as a rock, so unless you want to be stuck behind me, staring at my ass while we take half a day climbing up that rope, move!"

Yalun smiled and looked back at the old man, he nodded softly. "it's Yalun." he said pleasantly, scrabbling up the rope himself.

Jason made it to the ladder and fired at another mech. He looked at Cogburn and asked; "You're from the millitary too?" He fired another shot and then added; "Let the civis go first, we cover."

"Long ass time ago, son! Been killing for Kimmit since 'fore you were born!" Cornelius fired at another soldier. "You can go on ahead, I'll wait 'fer everyone else to climb up!"

"I ain't leaving you." Jason said simply. He shot again and looked at the man's peg leg and back at his face; "And you will need some cover fire as you climb slowly with the peg leg."

"I'd shove this 'peg leg' right up your ass, but you don't look like a comfortable boot!" Cornelius fired again and again. "Get up there!"

Jason rolled his eyes and said; "Fine, but don't go complaining if you arm gets shot off becasue of how stubborn you are." Jason put back his pistola and made his way up the rope.

"Then I'd get ANOTHER prosthetic, shove IT up your ass, and work your mouth like a damn puppet!" Cornelius fired again, waiting for everyone to make it up a good distance before climbing the rope himself.

Vex's ears tingled as she heard shouting. Turning around a corner, she spied some men a short distance away.
"Ummm...?" she said quietly, wanting to see what was going on, but not wanting to get involved.

Lucas was browsing brass bits and pieces during the attack. When it struck, a pulled out his crossbow and proceeded to ward off the robots.

"Damn it, of all days to have invasion..."

Knowing the severity of the situation and how important it was to find combat-able people, Vex trotted up and grabbed onto the rope that Cornelius had climbed up, rather frightened.
