The messenger flew away and disappeared

"Hmmm...So now I have an angry 'adventurer' with a tanto to my back, and a winged....thing following me. Great," Kephale thought. "Won't this be fun," he added.

"He will watch nothing!" Abraxas hissed, angered by the messanger. "Threatened by the Olympians...how dare them!?"

He slid the mask over his face, and sighed moments after. "One day...one hour...one moment..." he said quietly, looking at the golden sword. "...I will be forced to unsheath this blade..."

He pushed his way through the door with the scrolls and blade within his hand. "Mythical creatures rest in our paths." he said. "I do pray that we shall not come to close combat with these natural mistakes or life."

"Shouldn't we focus our energy on figuring out how to deal with the gods? All this bickering is making me... edgy," Astraea said. Her eye was twitching strangely. "So let's go talk to some gods!"

Abraxas's words confused Kephale. "Threatened by the Olympians...How dare them?" Did he not worship them, let alone fear their power? The dust storm was bad, and surely it isn't the worst they could do! He would have to remember to speak to the old man when he would have a chance to be a lone with him.

"Well, come on," muttered the disgruntled Alexis, as she hitched up her pack and set off north.

"Is there any patch of land that remains clear of bloody storms of dust!?" Abraxas shouted. For a moment, he nearly dropped his sword. He then held it with such a grip that not even Heracles himself could tear it from his arms. "I can hardly breath!"

Kephale followed closely behind Alexis and Abraxas, dagger in hand. He always felt safe with a dagger or bow, especially if it wasn't used against him.

*hem* All right, I'm going to go ahead and spur the story on a bit.

A few hours after leaving Athens, the storms began to subside a bit. It wasn't until that afternoon that they completely subsided.

The huge mountain of Olympus with moderately sloping paths now loomed before the adventurers. They decided to rest before beginning the climb.

Alexis leaned against a tree and casually sighed. "Tell us a bit about yourself, Kephale."

Aias ran circles around the group, sometimes running backwards or sideways, but always running clockwise. "Where do you come from?" He asked effortlessly as he ran past Kephale.

Kephale kept quiet, not saying anything to either Alexis or Aias. He did however stand up, and begin to run with Aias, keeping just a few steps behind him.

"Quiet one, huh?" Aias shrugged. He sped up and ran around a tree before returning, all in a few seconds. He hadn't had a challenge in a long time

Kephale nodded, and sped up to run side by side with Aias when he returned. Kephale too, liked a challenge now and again. In fact, maybe he would challenge Damon...If he ever got around to talking to him, that is.
