The hour passed quickly for the group of soldiers, and before they knew it they were heading to a helicopter.
"Take these," Eva said handing a throat mic to everyone in the team, "With this and the camera on your shoulders and I'll be able to see and hear what you can and advise you."

Khelso nodded at what the prince said. She inspected her Keelso's sharpness.

"Go to the portal chamber as soon as you can," Prince Jarot ordered before leaving.

Nate took the mic and put it on as he stepped into the helicopter. "Let's get goin'!" he said, glad to finally be going on his way, and actually DOING something.

Brad stood behind Juliet, hands in his pockets, rifle strapped to his back in its case. He was swaying back and forth a bit and looking down at the ground except for the quick glances he took at the scenery in front of him.

"So," Tylvenot said aloud, "it's almost time. I must admit, I'm a little nervous." He began to feel anxious as well. It had all come down to this. "I'll show no weakness."

"Me too." Khelso agreed: "But don't worry, the humans stand no chance." SHe began maknig her way to the portal room.

Vic took his seat in the back of the chopper, glad they were finally leaving. Leaning back un his chair he began counting the bullets in his RPD round, one, two, three, four...

"I guess it's time to go." Tylvenot knew he had to be ready, and he was. His personal opinion did not matter, he was born for this, "The time of Man's rule will end by the Prince's command, the Warhost can not lose."

"Then we go to the portal now...." Enteriot said to no one in particular. "Humans are like beasts, they believe their iron is a match for a fine forged elven weapon... Such hubris."

Juliet could feel Brad's eyes on her. She shook her head, and made a note to have a little chat with him later - this wasn't the time for it. She turned around and asked: "You ready, kid?"

Brad's head snapped up and nodded. "Yeah, yes, yes ma'am," he said.

"Go on you two," Eva said, "Get in."

The Portal room was a beautiful example of Elven architect, and held the two thousand Elven warriors along with several great beasts, ranging from serpents to wyvrens.
However the most notable were the three humongous armoured dragons near the back of the hall.

Brad walked past Juliet and got onto the aircraft, putting he microphone on his neck.

"This is impressive, even by the lofty standards of our race. It must have been two hundred years since I have seen a great dragon dressed for war." Enteriot said readying himself.

Juliet followed the rest into the helicopter, putting on her mic as she walked.

Khelso looked in awe at the army before her: "Magnificant." She said softly.

As the helicopter left the deck and headed to Washington, Eva's voice crackled over the radios.
"Okay and now why we had such a small amount of intel, twenty minutes after the terrorists took the city a huge EM wave knocked out all the electronics in the city- street cameras, lights, mobile phones, everything. Up until thirty minutes ago the field was still there but it has inexplicably dropped.
Your main objective is the President but if you can find out how the terrorists have developed a weapon then it takes priority- Eva out."

"Brothers, Sisters our time is now," Jarot called, "You are my most skilled warriors and together we shall strike at one of the human's hearts. The primitive race took land, our land many millennia ago, but no more! We will take back what is ours through force- the Age of Man is over and the Age of Elves is now!"

"Holy!- EM field? That would take a huge amount of power!" said Brad. "If we have thermal vision we might be able to see the generator. Should be burning hot." he said, resuming his nail biting and swaying after he had finished.

"That's actually a good idea, gimme a sec to calibrate your shoulder cams for thermal."

The Prince turned to an ageing elf- the God King himself.
"Father I shall return when the humans are defeated," Jarot said with a bow.
The sages finished thier ritual and a glitering gold portal appeared.
"Charge!" Jarot cried as he ran Keela first through the portal.

Khelso followed the prince into the portal with the army, bow in hand and an arrow ready to be fired.

The Warhost charged through into the derelict down town of Washington.
"This is not what was expected," Jarot said, "Be wary, it could be a trap."

Brad put his sniper rifle together and peered through his scope out the side of the helicopter.

Through the scope Brad saw a ghost town- there was no one in sight.
But something quickly flew past his scope, it was large and scaled- fitting tales of Dragons or Wyvrens.

Sixty-eight, sixty-nine, seventy.. Vic had barely been listening during the whole breifing, It was always the same. Turn up, kill the men classified as 'bad guys' and optionally save someone deemed important.
