Leyland winced as the enormous sphere of light demanded his attention, and made sure to secure his footing before the pieces of the ship began to collide with the ground, far into the distance. He became disconnected from his current skirmish with the Covenant as the gravity of Kamau's decision hit home. Did he make it out of that ship? He would give his life to save the planet, he said. Leyland snapped back into reality as plasma fire collided with his body, deflected by his now-weakened shields. He ducked into a small ditch in the ground, firing blindly with his pistol to suppress the enemy. Positioned on his back, he rolled onto his stomach, tossing a grenade as he did so. Before it detonated, he charged from cover, coming up in time to watch the exposive devastate the remaining Covenant in his immediate vicinity. That was my last grenade. Leyland moved forward cautiously, scanning for hidden enemies carefully. Once satisfied, he hopped onto the moderately-damaged Ghost, his only viable means of transport, and head towards the main force, to support his squadmates. "Sir, did Kamau make it out of there?"

Gordon looked up at the enormous flash of light up in the air. Gordon reached for Kamaus dog tag, and gripped it tightly.
"No, he gave his life to save us." Gordon looked up, and headed into the armory. On the racks, shotguns, Grenade launchers, and multiple other weapons filled the room. Gordon reloaded his AR, and picked up a shotgun along with a new looking knife. He put the knife onto a small clip on his right shoulder pad, and it glistened in the light. Gordon stepped outside, and cocked the shotgun.

Johnathan opened the hatch of his newly found Scorpion Tank and admired the sight. It was both equally pleasing and saddening to watch. The huge blossom of bright, plasmic light shined on his face. For a short while he sat in the tank, silent for Kamau. Then etched a 'K' on his Wrist pad; His way to remember a good soldier. With renewed hatred of the Covenant brewing inside of his mind, he forwarded the tank beside Gordon. "Want a ride? I'm in the mood to send some covie [&@%!] to hell. You?"

Gordon jumped onto the turret of Johnathans tank
"Lets kick some Covenant a@#." Gordon managed to squeeze out. Gordon aimed the turret of the tank at the nearby Covenant army approached.
"I need some fire on those Covvies!" Gordon yelled to Johnathan.

Leyland charged towards the enemy, and his squadmates, still situated on the commandeered vehicle. The magnificent explosion that had just occured seemed to have left a permanent dent in the horizon, small pieces of shrapnel still falling slowly to the ground. He still could not believe the choice Kamau had made. He would not have had the nerve to do the same. With that degrading thought in mind, Leyland soared across the scorched, open ground, finally arriving near the Scorpion occupied by Jonathon and Gordon. "Sir, I'll move up and take out their rocketeers!" With that he sped forward.

"Will do sir." Replied Johnathan. With that he joyfully hit the fire button for the Scorpions main cannon. It responded by launching a high explosive round into the lines of Covenant soldiers. More explosions came from the detonating methane tanks of the Grunts. He rotated the barrel a bit and launched another round. He grinned the grin of all grins seeing the Covenant get blown to bits and laughed when some began to scatter.

Gordon held the side of the tank as it shook from firing. He took aim at a Banshee that was about to fire upon them, and fired a round into it, destroying it. He let numerous rounds fire into the Covenant, and killed many of them.

Leyland rushed forward on his commandeered ghost, firing constantly while pulling hard on the controls to move the vehicle sideways, in a sharp arc. He ended up with the cannons pointed towards his allies, and quickly readjusted his position, letting loose another volley of plasma fire directed specifically at the other ghosts.
