LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Sat Jul 03, 2010 7:14 am

Do you want to create the most awsome character you can think of, then this is for you.

LIFENDA

(Land of life)

Description: This roleplay is intended for those who want a lengthy roleplay but don't want to be hassled with keeping track of attributes. Here you will get plenty of action and the freedom to create the most uber character you can think of. The more outstanding the better as you will be swarmed with thousands of knee height demonic minions and their commander whom posses unmatched skill. To note this is a fantasy/sci-fi roleplay.

The world is called Lifenda. It has a single land mass that is strewn across the equator. And if you were to visit Lifenda you'll find that it is a land brimming with life. Most of it being rather deadly. Either they are quick and cunning or monstrous in size.

Its inhabitants are split into 6 races. All are similar to each other. Just think of humans but split into 6 different colours: Red, blue, green, brown, black & white. Like the bionicle series if you wish. Each race is aligned with its respective element (in respective order): fire, water, wind, earth, shadow and ice. You can recognize each race as their colour defines the colour of their skin and hair. In the case of the reds, blues and greens; their skin is only lightly tinted to their races colour and in blacks case only their hair is jet black, their skin is pale white.

Reds: Hardy people who live in the volcanic northern region. They are highly resistant heat and are immune to fire. Their capital city: Molten Citadel, which is on the outside and inside of a volcano is a hub for new technology. Scientists of all races set their workshops here, mainly for the vast quantities of heavy and rare materials that pass through the trade center.

Blues: Calm, spiritual people that make the southwestern region of lakes and rivers their home. Most blues are skilled swimmers. Their capital city: Capital Harbour is easily the largest harbour in Lifenda. Hundreds of boats pass through each day. Many fisheries are based here, catching the sea plenty full supply of fish. Yet the fisheries are subject to strict restrictions to how much and where they can fish, but the fisheries follow these as they respect the blues spiritual view on the sea.

Greens: Slender people who live in the think jungle west region. Some have a form of 'sixth sense' that allows them to sense oncoming weather. The greens capital city: Windy Peak, situated on top of the gigantic ancient trees of the jungle, could be described as a giant airport. As the blues sport the biggest sea port the greens have the biggest airport. It has recently been rebuilt to support the new wave of high-tech aircraft.

Browns: Strong, wide people who live comfortably in the dessert eastern region. They are known to lift large boulders with ease. Most of their cities are giant mining sites, mining through the seemingly endless supply of minerals and metals. The largest being Progress Quarry. It is the only known source of the super-strong metal: Tri-idium.

Blacks: Blacks are the most reclusive of the races. Rarely leaving their mountainous region in the south east. The few people who have been to capital city of: Shadow City have described it as an endless network of underground tunnels. Not much else is known about them. Though some of the most impressive fighters come from the reclusive race.

Whites: Tall and wise whites of the icy south region are renowned for their cunning intelligence. They are also resistant to the cold (for obvious reasons). They are civilised, polite and very creative. The capital city of Ice Pinnacle is a modern metropolitan city. They are the only race that allow others to freely take up residence in their capital. Most of the highly renowned scientist and technicians are whites.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
History: Barely anything is know of the planets early history. With no written records exist and the only form of evidence is through fables written in (very) old tomes. But the earliest known event was "The War of Elements". No real reason is known for cause of a grand war between all the races but what is known that it was the whites who ended it. Using clever tactics that starved, demoralized and crippled each of the other nations they used this to force open negotiations. In the end a truce and treaties where formed. The most noticeable being the agreement that the center of the world be the "Neutral" or "Open" zone. Where traditions and religion are set aside to allow peace between all the races.
Current world status: Technology is booming. New innovations are paving the way for a brighter tomorrow. If you were to compare Lifenda to earth, it would be the year 2300. Law enforcement is stronger than ever with the latest generation of mechs and laser weaponry. People travel faster with supersonic low-orbit space craft. But with this, criminals become better equipped. Bandits in the neutral zone put up a solid match for any well-equipped opposition. And mercenaries are now sporting better tech than ever. But the biggest threat to all that is known is the rise of a new dangerous cult called the: Restarters.
They believe that the current path life on Lifenda is taking has fallen off course. And that they have been sent to correct it. There possibly is more behind their cause but that is not yet known. What is known is that they enforce their religion with enormous armies of daemonic creatures. No knows where they came from but the most likely theory is that the Restarters have powerful conjurers. And that they summon each army by the millions. But nonetheless they have begun attacking settlements in the neutral zone. First small towns, but that soon moved on to large towns and cities. The most recent being the largest town of: Freedoms Heart at the center of the neutral zone. The Restarters have set siege to this glorious town preventing incoming and outgoing trade. Hunger is growing and unrest is brewing in the population.
This is where you come in.
Your Goal: Is to escape from Freedoms Heart to seek aid to break the siege. You will need to travel to the capital cities of each of the races provinces to ask for aid. This will not be easy. If escaping from and army of millions of demons isn't hard enough. Bandits, mercs, sand worms, strider hunters plus many more lay in you path to saving Freedoms Heart.
Now... to the good stuff.
CHARACTER CREATION
Your character sheet should be like this. Don't be afraid to go all out with it. You character is meant to be the best of the best, unmatched and undefeated.
Name: [insert name here]
Gender: [male/female]
Age: [The average lifetime being 120 years]
Race: [one of the 6 colours]
Class: [description on this later]
Sexuality: [hetero, homo or bi. Who am I to judge]
Height: [Whites are tallest around 7 foot, rest are around 6"5' save Greens who are around 6" average]
Weight: [A bit more than what a human weighs]
Description: [an overview on what your character looks like. Note that blacks and whites are quite slim, browns are usually muscular, the rest can look pretty much as you wish]
Gear: [this will relate to you class]
Armament: [same as above]
Biography: [A quick summary of your characters life. Note that he/she has to end up in Freedoms Heart somehow]
Defining Features: [Something that is unique for you character, eg: tattoos, implants, nickname]
Personality: [how your character thinks and feels]
You may add extra things if you wish.
CLASSES: Classes are important because not every race can fill every role. This may seem restrictive but is necessary. Below is a list of classes and what races they are available to. Plus a small description. Note that you can combine 2 or 3 classes or ask for a extra one if there is something you want that is missing.
WARRIOR:
Races: All
Description: Using fine armour and extravagant weapons, a warrior is a sight to behold on the battlefield. Arming themselves with axes, sword, shields, pikes, hammers. Some warriors still use classic plate armour and more modern ones have begun to use powerized armour. Whatever they use they are as unstoppable as a tank.
TROOPER/COMMANDO:
Races(TROOPER): Red, green, brown, white. (COMMANDO): black, red, green, white
Description: Users of modern weaponry are called troopers. From light scouts to heavy machine gunners they specialize in small, medium and large arms. Commando's are similar to troopers but combine small arms with close combat weapons.
SHARPSHOOTER/ARCHER:
Races(SHARPSHOOTER): black, red, blue, green, white. (ARCHER): black, blue, green, white
Description: Long distance fighters, archers and sharpshooters use ranged weaponry to their advantage. Sharpshooters use sniper rifles or combat rifles (medium distance rifles). Archers use modern 'torque bows', (very) large bows that are capable of pining targets to walls. They both are quick and deadly, with unparalleled reflexes.
ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN:
Races(ENGINEER): Red, brown, green. (TECHNITIAN): black, red, green, white
Description: Those that use technology as their weapon are called engineers or technicians. Engineers specialize in large scale technology, eg: mechs, vehicles, turrents etc. Technicians are skilled with the more intricate technology, eg: laser/Gauss weaponry, bionics, computers etc. Along with technology they use their quick wits to out-smart opponents.
ELEMENT MASTER:
Races: all
Description: The War of Elements was fought with element masters. All races used to be able to control their aligned element. Though over time less use of this has been needed. Nowadays only those who set their mind and body to it become a true master of an element. Reds can control fire and lava, as well as being able to conjure flames. Blues can bend water and passively breathe underwater. Greens can manipulate the wind to their will. Browns can shift earth and rock. Whites can freeze objects and control ice. The blacks are the most renowned Element masters, called Shadow Lords. They can disappear into the shadows and can summon dark shadow energy. This dark energy drains the life of anything it touches. Some Shadow Lords can phase out of reality in a form of intangible state.
BIONIC:
Races: black, red, brown, white
Description: With the technology boom happening, some people choose to enhance their body with artificial and mechanical parts. Things like arms or legs are replaced by stronger mechanical ones. Eyes are replaced by enhanced ones that give advantages like night vision and tactical information relayed to them. Note that to be a bionic class on its own one has to be heavily modified. It is not uncommon for someone to have an bionic implant. That said this class would be best combined with others.
MAGE:
Races: Red, black, blue
Description: Some have the ability to wield the neutral arcane element. Mages can fling magical energies, levitate, shape shift, control minds and move objects from afar. As well as this they have rudimentary control over the other elements. Meaning they can throw fire balls, ice shards etc, but won't have the same level of control as an Element master possess.
PREIST/MONK:
Races (PREIST): red, blue, white. (MONK): red, blue, brown, white
Description: The eighth element is light. Some have the ability to wield light as a weapon. Casting smites, heals and fortification spells. Priests have their mind attuned to the light element only using spells for combat. Monks are the more able bodied followers of light, combining spells with close combat.
HUNTER:
Races: all
Description: A hunter is someone who chooses to side with nature. Living with the land. A hunter can easily be recognized as they usually befriend a animal as a partner. These two share a strong bond, willing to help each other at a moments notice. Hunters fight with all manner of weapons, though usually they use traditional weapons over modern ones.
Remember that the description of each class aren't restrictions but more like loose guidelines. And I recommend you to combine classes together or make a hybrid, eg: monk + warrior = Paladin. Just be creative. I'm letting you make the most creative character you can think of. Your hunter may have a Sand Worm as a pet that he calls. Element Masters can easily combine with other classes, eg Shadow Lord Warrior. Technicians and engineers can use small arms. Just chuck two together and see what you get.
And if you think of a class that isn't here just ask and I'll add it.
POSTING RULES:
Right now I'll suggest that if you want to join you better be dam sure you can obliged to this RP. I'd would really like to see this RP succeed and continue for a while. And I'd hate to see people drop out half way through.
Rules:
1. Your characters can be powerful and skilled. They are meant to be the best after all. Just don't go too over the top, ie: not uber.
2. Please use correct spelling/grammar. Internet explorer both have built in spell checkers so please use them.
3. Don't send you character off on his own tangent. Keep him part of the group and be a good team player.
4. NO FLAMING/BEING ABUSIVE. Be polite please.
5. Non-roleplaying text goes in spoilers.
6. You can post in first person or third, your choice.
7. I control NPC's, that said don't control other players characters either.
8. Be creative.
Combat posting:
1. When a fight starts, make it interesting. Be visceral and creative.
2. Don't kill things instantly, you may be uber but so is the rest of the world. Stretch out the combat. Have lengthy one on ones. Enemies like restarter commanders are just as skilled as you are. It's likely that they can block and outsmart each of your attacks. Other enemies are large in numbers so feel free to slash away at twenty because there are probably 100 more to go.
Example: I lunged foward at the commander, thrusting forward with my sword. A move easily parried as the commander swiped the sword to side and kneeded me square in the chest. My armour absorbed most of the force but it still dam well hurt. Being up and close to him now I headbutted then tried to strike at his waist. My blade struck, cutting through his armours chain underlayer and slicing his waist underneath. He roared at this and charged furiously. Even though there still was a person under the armour, the roar sounded almost daemonic. He slashed twice diagonally, both of which I dodged. This savage slashing gave me an opening to which I took. I thrusted and succesfully plunged my blade through his curaiss and deep into his chest. He scream a painful scream that echoed through the canyon. I withdrew my blade and the corpses slumped heavily to the ground.
3. Support your team mates. That said don't be afraid to put your character in danger because your team will help you.
4. HAVE FUN
Enemies: There are numerous enemies in Lifenda. Here are a few. I'll introduce more along the way.
Humanoid enemies:
Bandits: The neutral zone is where a majority of bandits live. They usually sport small arms and light vehicles. They are weak but numerous.
Mercs: Freerolling, guns and swords for higher. When their not employed they'll kill anything for the thrill of it. They are better equipped than bandits. They use medium arms to large arms and close combat weapons, light and heavy vehicles and mechs.
Restarter Commanders: These guys are to be feared with you life. A commander leads an entire army of demons. They are said to be unmatched in skill and only a few have been killed. A commander will be introduced along side with a class.
Wildlife Enemies:
Strider Scorpions: These swift and large scorpions inhabit the neutral and brown regions. They can run at speeds up to 400km/h but only on flat terrain. They have difficulty traversing uneven ground. Their exoskeleton is harder than rock.
Sand Worms: Native to the neutral zone these monster can grow up to 10km long and live for thousands of years. They have no eyes and navigate through feel. No one knows how many their are as they rarely surface.
Mountain Hunters: These humanoid carnivores inhabit every region of Lifenda. Wherever there is a mountain or caves you'll find these beasts. They have claws in place of feet and large bone-scythes for hands. As imposing a they look, they will only attack for food. They are a major nuisance in the blacks mountainous region.
Daemonic Enemies: The Restarters are only succeeding as they are because the have amassed great armies of demons.
Minions: small ugly creatures about 2 foot tall. They fight by jumping on a target and biting viciously. These are the most numerous playing the role as cannon fodder.
Fighters: These stand at 5 foot tall and wear crude armour and weapons. This is the basic infantry force. They will also hijack vehicles and scavenge weapons of the fallen.
Lords: These take orders from a commander to control the rest of the crowd. They can put a decent fight.
Runners: Some fighters mount themselves on these large wolf like creatures. Strong fast and highly aggressive.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Right that's everything... Here's my character to get you started.

Name: Taeen (tah, een)
Gender: male
Age: 30
Race: Black
Class: Shadow Lord Engineer
Sexuality: Hetero-sexual
Height: 6" 6'
Weight: 60kg (he's quite skinny)

Description: Slim, long loose hair. His cheek bones show quite profusely and he has a thin short chin. He always has a happy grin on his face.
Gear: Technical light armour. It is laden with his tools. He has lost his right arm and is replaced by a bionic one. His bionic hand is like an all in one tool and can transform into for various uses, eg: plasma cutter, welder, multi-tool. He is constantly wearing his googles, big circular black ones.
Armament: Along side his shadow powers he uses a Gauss assault rifle and two energy scimitars. He carries a few grenade and explosives with him.
Biography: Taeen was born in the blacks capital city. He showed signs of shadow control as a child and was briskly taken to train as Shadow Lord. Here he also found his love for technology. He was allowed to study technology along side his shadow training. He is fascinated with large vehicles and mechs. He travels around in his vehicle The Monolith collecting new tecnology and helping people out. He had just arrived in Freedoms Heart when the restarters attacked.
Defining Features: Apart from his bionic arm he also has the largest land vehicle in Lifenda: The Monolith. Just think of a REALLY large star wars MTT. This is his home and method of travel. It was designed to transport small armies but he uses it for himself. It has plenty of space for a small party of adventurers. The cargo hold has a small 6-wheel drive and a heavy mech (both he made himself) and still room for more.
Personality: He is a bit of an eccentric. He gets excited when he hears or reads about new tech. When fighting he comes up with the worst one liners. Though he is always there if you want a chat or advice.

Well, theirs mine. Lets see what you can come up with. I'll start when we have at least six or seven players.

If this wasn't supposed to be an uber RP I'd join.

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

So your saying you want restrictions.

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Sat Jul 03, 2010 12:06 pm

Basically, yes. A roleplay without restrictions is like a spider without it's web. SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE!

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Sat Jul 03, 2010 12:13 pm

1. Ubering IS allowed. That is the point of this RP.

There's your problem, champ.

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Sat Jul 03, 2010 1:43 pm

Hmmm... Maybe uber wasn't the best word. What I was trying to say is that your characters can be highly skilled fighters, unmatched and undefeated as I said. Impossible odds call for only the best. When I meant uber I was saying: really really really really really powerful. I guess I underestimated its true meaning. My bad.

Rule 1 will be changed to: Your characters can be powerful and skilled. They are meant to be the best after all. Just don't go too over the top, ie: not uber.

In other words: Highly skilled fighters, unmatched and undefeated...impossible odds...and really really really really really powerful characters = ubering.

I don't see what your getting at. I want you to be creative. I'm not hammering you with realism. Thats why this is an action RP. If your so tied up in rules then make your character according to them. I just wanted to let you have some fun and go nuts. If your going to fight an army of about a million then a group of six weighed down by the rules wont last long.

I, for one, am fan of "uber" RPs. I will make my character in a moment.

And if you guys don't like it, don't join. It's just that easy :P

I would join this, except that I have no idea what to name my character. I'm not good at coming up with fantasy-style names.

I doesn't really matter how it sounds. Just try and stick two sounds together, eg: Zeenah, Haneff, Morkan.

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:02 am

Spoiler:
Name: Saturos
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Race: Blue
Class: Hydro Warrior (element master/warrior)
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Height: 6'9"
Weight: 180 lbs.

Description: Saturos is somewhat tall (at least, he is compared to other Blue people) and very skinny. He is much stronger than he looks, though, and shows surprising skill in melee or magical combat.

Gear: His preferred armor looks a lot like casual clothes. He wears a black T-shirt under a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, khaki jeans, and black shoes. His armor has small shield generators in it to protect against most physical and artificial energy-based assaults, such as lasers. His armor isn't as heavy as other warriors, but it lets him cast magic better. He is actively seeking to upgrade it further. He also has one implant in each of his arms. They're designed to help him recover his energy faster.

Armament: In addition to his water-based magic, he carries two weapons: a one-handed axe with an acidic edge that eats through armor and prevents flesh from healing properly, and an ancient staff. The staff was used during the Element Wars, and has been handed down through his family as an heirloom, since one of his distant ancestors used it. It's not as strong of a melee weapon as his axe, but he can cast water magic better with it.

Defining Features: He has tribal tattoos on each side of his neck.

Personality: Saturos is very quiet and reserved. If you can get him to talk, though, he can usually offer a bit of advice on the situation with a touch of sarcasm. Most of the time, if he sets his mind on doing something, he will make sure he (or, depending on what it is, someone else) does it, at any cost.

Biography: At an early age, Saturos was put into the element master's academy. He showed some promise, but not that much compared to other students, and he expelled for "not meeting the academy's standards" and "being too much of a brute". He still gained quite a bit of power, though, and while others would consider the second reason an insult, he used it as a suggestion to pick up the way of the modern warrior and combine it with his magical skill.

Saturos very rarely leaves his house. He is usually either training his magic abilities, hacking apart a dummy with his axe (he uses a different, non-acidic axe so as to not dissolve the dummy, although he does have to replace it about once a week), or modifying his armor. He has become a moderately skilled technician, although that's not his specialty.

When he does leave his house, it's to visit his younger sister in Freedom's Heart. The two maintain a (mostly) healthy relationship, despite the infrequent visits. After the Restarters opened up on the city, his first move was to go to the city and make sure she was safe. When the siege started, he was about to leave the city after ensuring she got out safely, and now, he's taken to fighting his way out of the city. He hasn't made much progress yet.

I decided to take the easy way out and name my character after someone from a video game. Bonus points if you can tell me what game.

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Mon Jul 05, 2010 9:14 pm

I'm joining, I'm joining! Don't hurt me!

Name: Llylan
Gender: Feemale
Age: 26
Race: White
Class: Hunter/Element Master = Element Stalker ( :mrgreen: )
Sexuality: Hetero
Height: 6'0 (she's short. I don't like being tall)
Weight: 160 lbs

Description: She has a very sleek physique, obviously toned and refined to hunting. Her vivid black hair contrasts strongly with her pale skin.
Gear: Two long pieces of rope, a small shiny bauble, and some light armor.
Armament: A longbow and a quiver of frosty arrows, as well as two rapiers that seem to make the area around them cold when unsheathed. And, of course, she blasts things with frost and ice and the like.
Biography: Llylan was raised by wolves in the wilderness, not far from Freedom's Heart. She learned to hunt with them on all fours, and it was only after a green hunter walking in the forest came upon her alone that she was introduced to civilization. The green hunter, whose name she doesn't remember (or pretends not to), brought her to Freedom's Heart to work as an apprentice fletcher. She still retains some wild blood, but has acclimated quite well otherwise.

Defining Features: She has a long black scar that reaches from the right side of her shoulder to her hip, as if something raked her side. It's not disfiguring, but it seems slightly odd.
Personality: She puts on a cheery face for the masses, attempting to fit in as much as possible. The recent siege has dampened her spirits slightly, for she is no longer able to roam freely in the forest. She does have a tendency to be scathingly sarcastic at times, but generally she is mellow-natured.

Going to be doing some editing.

Awsome character. I will let the 'green elf' thing slide cause they all look like normal people.

After one more person joins I'll get this going.

Whoops, I meant green hunter :lol: I keep picturing them as elves for some reason!

I see your point :lol: . I also noticed that yours has black hair, yet your race is white. Not be a Nazi for correctness, but unless she has dyed hers each races hair colour is the same as their races colour. But she can have it dyed, your choice.

Also as I'm kinda bored at the moment so I started 3D moddeling Taeens vehicle: The Monolith. Just to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Well Taeen asked for aerodynamics durings its production, even though it weighs a few thousand metric tons :lol: .

It doesn't seem like any else is going to join. So, we fine starting with only 3 people.

Is this going to start or not?

Re: LIFENDA: Action roleplay

Wed Jul 07, 2010 1:47 am

Sorry bout that. I was hoping for more than three so I'll add a few NPC's to accompany us. Just use them whenever you need them. But anyways...

Let the ACTION Begin

I'll put any narration in Italics.

The City Hall was echoing with chatter about the siege. Over night a Demonic army, in-countable in size, appeared from every bearing around the city of Freedoms Heart. Councilmen and women shouted across the room, their ideas and suggestions of what to do. Just as things were about to get out of hand, six distinct figures entered the room and silence fell over the room like a net. The only noise that remained were whispers. These six were the best fighters in Freedoms Heart at the time. And each one look as impressive as the next. A few guards indicated they stand in a row in front of the council.

The first on the left was Saturos, a Hydro Warrior, with an axe sheathed on his waist and a staff on his back he stood almost seven foot tall. Next stood an white element huntress, Llylan. When she walked in a trail of ice formed behind, causing a guard to slip on his back. The tallest of the lot was next a brown Monk, Kortok, standing with dignified poise. His armored robe made him look all the more imposing. Next twitching and fidgeting was what could be loosely described as a red bionic, named Reden. Though instead of having bionic parts his body was entrapped in bulky exoskeleton. He seemed to be unable to remain still as he flicked his head, side to side looking around the room. Next to him, trying to resist the urge to fix the leaking pneumatics on Redens shoulder was Taeen, a black shadow mechanic, flicking his bionic arm through its different forms. The last was Tropak, a green trooper. His armour was laden in any kind of weapon you could think of.

After a short pause, the Head Councilmen stood slowly. His white long hair swayed slowly and it seemed to hypnotize the other councilmen into silence. He cleared his throat and spoke, "You six are the best fighters we could requisition in such short notice. No doubt you are aware of the demons that surround this city. Are communications have been jammed and trade severed. Please excuse this short notice but I would ask you to help us. Some of you may not be citizens of this city but nevertheless it still is a home to thousands. If you accept then your only option is to escape the siege and seek help from the other capital cities. You must convince them send aid in whatever for." He sat back down, his expression held much worry. He let this sink in only speaking once more before the council begun arguing again. "So... Do you accept?"

Spoiler:
I hope you do. But use this to introduce your character.

Taeen had no choice but to accept. Not only was his vehicle, The Monolith, being vandalised by those demons as it was out side the city walls but he also saw it as the best way to escape. What could be better vehicle to escape in than a two thousand ton land crawler he thought. Before he made his answer he checked the status of the Monolith through his PDA bracer. No breaches, no damage to the hull or wheels and the shock traps on the hatches underneath hadn't been set off. This was good, their ride was still in good nick. He stepped forward, "Seeing as I could stay here and die of starvation or die trying to escape, I'm not left with much of a choice. But as my baby is out there getting her paint scratched I'll take the second option. I'll accept your plea and escape to get aid." He shuffled around and walked out of the room. "I'll be waiting in here for anybody else who accepts," he called out. After he had left Kortok spoke, "The mechanic is right. There's not much point in staying." With this he followed after Taeen. "I'm in," was the only thing said by Tropak and Reden hobbled after him saying, "Heh, this sounds like fun. Count me in." The Head Councilmen looked at Saturos and Llylan, waiting for them to answer.

"It doesn't really sound like we have a choice, so yes, I accept," I said, looking down at my axe. "I was actually looking forward to hitting something with my axe that isn't made of wood."
